Names for my twins?

Due twins in September (first babies) don’t know what we’re having (sex wise, obviously we are having babiesGrin)

Favourite names so far are...

Clara Pearl
Rosa Marianne

Eugene Alexander (but will be known as Gene. I have an irrational dislike of abbreviated names on birth certificates)

Earl James
Rudy James (I love Rudy but aware it’s an abbreviation) Don’t think it’s a real contender though as I don’t like Rueben, Rudyard etc. DH says Rudolph, but I think that’s a step too farGrin

Any thoughts/other suggestions welcome.

Rudy is lovely, although I agree you need a full name that you can bear to give him. I think Gene is nice too, but it's off my list as I knew a horrible one.

The girls' names are very pretty. Arcania: Clara Pearl made me double-take as there was a great Second Empire courtesan called Cora Pearl who used to dust her skin in powdered pearl. Not that this should put you off, literally nobody has heard of her. And it's a positive, if anything.

I would agree with the different initials for twins. I’ve got twin girls and am REALLY pleased now I didn’t got for matching names. I get confused enough as it is!

I also know a Gene in real life. He is just Gene. Gets a fucking hard time - all the usual jeans/genes/DNA kind of puns, plus the fact that he has the same first name as a middle aged woman.

Rudy is lush though.

Rosa Marianne is SO beautiful. I would so choose this if you only have one girl. Clara pearl is lovely though.

Not sure on your boys except for the Alexander part Alexander Eugene?
