For me:-
Lydia - I don't understand why this isn't more popular.
Elizabeth
Alice
Felicity

But all lovely names.

Katjolo · 04/07/2018 21:18

Lydia

Bobbiepin · 04/07/2018 21:19

I have a Lydia obviously love the name

Elllicam · 04/07/2018 21:19

I love Lydia.

motortroll · 04/07/2018 21:20

Lydia without a doubt. Beautiful name!

Mol1628 · 04/07/2018 21:21

Lydia.

DramaAlpaca · 04/07/2018 21:23

Well you've got four classy, elegant & classic names right there!

I have a soft spot for Lydia & also love Alice & Felicity. Elizabeth is my least favourite of the four but I'd use it as a middle name.

Other suggestions: Julia, Catherine, Eleanor or Helena.

MorrisDancingViv · 04/07/2018 21:25

Lydia

Peachbubble · 04/07/2018 21:30

Alice or Felicity

thenorthernluce · 04/07/2018 21:30

I LOVE Lydia - it was my top choice for our daughter but my husband vetoed it ☹️

BevBrook · 04/07/2018 21:32

Ooh, love all these. I would choose Lydia first then probably Elizabeth because of the massive choice of nicknames - Libby is my favourite.

TingleTots · 04/07/2018 22:19

I've got a Lydia so I'm biased 😉

AnyaMoondial · 04/07/2018 22:31

Felicity is just gorgeous.

Elizabeth is about as classic as you can get.

Lydia is probably the most unusual of your list.

Alice is nice but very very popular and has been for a couple of decades now so lots of them I think.

Bobbiepin · 04/07/2018 22:32

@tingletots out of interest how old is your Lydia?

capercaillie · 04/07/2018 22:34

Love all of those although not as keen on felicity.
Two of them are my daughters names!

Joeybee · 04/07/2018 22:37

Lydia - I feel there are so many Lydias at the moment. This name is starting to get a bit boring.
Felicity - Just not a fan of this name. I think people either love or hate it tbh. It sounds a little bitchy a name to me.
Alice - Lovely, classic name, but a bit bland.
Elizabeth - LOVE this name. It's totally underused but is so versatile and elegant. There are so many nicknames you can get from it - Lilybet, Liza, Beth, Lisa, Liz, Lizbeth, Eli....it goes on and on.

sarararararah · 04/07/2018 22:38

I have a Lydia too. She’s 10. Still love her name. I like Elizabeth too, followed by Alice and then Felicity. I think Felicity is a bit of a mouthful and I’m not keen on the nicknames that are used. All lovely choices though!

bridgetreilly · 04/07/2018 22:39

In order, I like:
Felicity. Gorgeous. One of my all-time favourites.
Alice
Elizabeth
Lydia. I don't like this at all.

TingleTots · 04/07/2018 22:43

She's 5.

I just think it's such a beautiful and pretty name.

RedDwarves · 04/07/2018 22:56

I have a strong dislike of Lydia. Probably because the one I knew used to get tormented with "Lydia Chlamydia". But aside from that, it just sounds cold to me.

The rest are lovely. Alice is my favourite.

Bobbiepin · 04/07/2018 22:57

@tingletots & @sarararararah are there any other Lydias in their class/school? I've never met another Lydia but also a friend hadn't met another Isla when she named her DD but now they seem to be everywhere.

Rodders92 · 04/07/2018 22:58

Lydia or Alice, I also love Martha

TingleTots · 04/07/2018 23:33

No other Lydias that I know of, I notice them more bow though.

We actually got the idea from a relative's name from quite a few generations back.

TingleTots · 04/07/2018 23:33

*now sorry not bow

Bobbiepin · 04/07/2018 23:40

Good to know, thanks. I was pregnant when the first series of handmaid's tale was on TV and Aunt Lydia made me question it but there wasn't another name I loved as much.
