I know mn thinks it's popular but that doesn't bother me.

Do you think its nicer than Amelia?

That's what I was going to call my girl but Dp didn't like it so now she's Emily.

Don't know any Amelias.. still prefer Emilia

If you like it use it x

DramaAlpaca · 04/07/2018 19:32

Yes. I think it looks & sounds nicer than Amelia.

Oysterbabe · 04/07/2018 19:58

I prefer Amelia but there's not much in it.

missmouse101 · 04/07/2018 20:02

I don’t like names with the ‘mealy’ sound, sorry! I love Emerald though!

Glumglowworm · 04/07/2018 20:28

I prefer Amelia

MikeUniformMike · 04/07/2018 20:29

Much nicer than Amelia.

Icklepup · 04/07/2018 20:30

Yes, it's nicer

Tentomidnight · 04/07/2018 20:31

Lovely name, but please don’t insist that it is pronounced ‘A-melia’ despite the E, like the mum of an Emilia I know.

user109842 · 04/07/2018 21:05

To me it's e-mee-lee-a

Yes I prefer Emilia. Looks nicer, love names beginning with E.

MikeUniformMike · 05/07/2018 08:56

I would say it Em-ILL-ya

RedDwarves · 05/07/2018 09:35

Lovely.

The difference between Emilia and Amelia is negligible to my (Australian) ears, so it would simply come down to which spelling you prefer. If it makes any difference, most people will assume it's Amelia upon hearing it.

redmini4 · 05/07/2018 11:48

It's one of my favourite names. Prefer it to Amelia.

sonnyboo · 05/07/2018 12:28

I prefer Emily. There are SO many Amelies Amelias Emilias that it gets confusing

MikeUniformMike · 05/07/2018 13:16

There are lots of Emilys too.
