Winter Ivey Sage H for a boy.

What do you think?

Open to suggestions that include Winter, but also fit the WISH theme.

Ivy is a girls name. Ivey looks like you can't spell Ivy.

What about Ivan, Ivor, Inigo?

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 27/06/2018 23:00

Will Isaac Sage H

ButterflyOfFreedom · 27/06/2018 23:03

I would presume someone with the names Winter, Ivey and/or Sage was a girl....

William Ivor Sebastian H....

HisGirl2009 · 27/06/2018 23:06

The I and the S names are negotiable, Winter isn’t 😀

GoJohnnyGoGoGoGo · 27/06/2018 23:06

What about Ivo

strawberrypenguin · 27/06/2018 23:06

I'd assume Winter and Ivey were girls names too

Walter, Winston, Wilson, Wilbur

Isaac, Ivan, Ivor, Ian

DramaAlpaca · 27/06/2018 23:07

That sounds like a very contrived girls' name to me. Sorry, not what you wanted to hear I'm sure.

TroubledLichen · 27/06/2018 23:08

Winter is a girl’s name. So is Ivy/Ivey. Sage I would also presume girl. Sorry but this is just terrible for a boy.

PixelAteMe · 27/06/2018 23:08

Winter Isaac Soloman H

Winter Irving Samuel H

Winter Inigo Storm H

ClangerTwanger · 27/06/2018 23:10

Winter igloo snow house 😂
Sorry op I couldn’t help myself..

Erm winter Isaac Samuel h?

AllyMcBeagle · 27/06/2018 23:10

I would have said those are all exclusively girls' names too.

QuantumPixies · 27/06/2018 23:10

Those are girl’s names. Your son will forever be explaining that he is a boy.

The initials thing is incredibly naff.

Joeybee · 27/06/2018 23:10

Winter and Ivey are more suited for girls to me. I like Sage, thats a cool, underused name.

HisGirl2009 · 27/06/2018 23:13

Rudeness is incredible ‘naff’, but you know, some people just can’t help themselves 😜

Winter Ivan Samuel H***

William Ivan Samuel H***

Reaa · 27/06/2018 23:14

Winter I would of said girls name as the only winters I know are girls

JessambardKingdomBrunel · 27/06/2018 23:25

Winston? At least it's actually a boys' name.

You may like out there hippy names, but what if your kid ends up getting horrendously bullied and wants more than anything to be able to blend in, but can't because of the ridiculous moniker you imposed on him.

Your child is a person, not an opportunity for you to express your creativity.

All three of the names you have mentioned above are girls' names. Save them for if you have a girl.

victoriaspongecake · 27/06/2018 23:29

It's a silly name.

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/06/2018 23:33

No, just don't.
You aren't the one who will have to live with it.

PippilottaLongstocking · 27/06/2018 23:35

Winter and Sage are lovely
I like the suggestions of Ivan or Inigo

PippilottaLongstocking · 27/06/2018 23:36

Winter Inigo Sage flows beautifully

SmashedMug · 27/06/2018 23:37

Winter? Poor little sod.

Imagine 16 year old Winter. 25 year old Winter. 😂

twattymctwatterson · 27/06/2018 23:41

Can you imagine a high court judge called Winter? Or a Prime Minister? If you want a "unique" name pick one for yourself and change it by deed poll. People who do this do it for themselves not their kids.

TheCraicDealer · 27/06/2018 23:49

All three are very feminine names, not to mention unusual and in 2 of the 3, floral. I presume Ivey is a family name of some discription?

If you're stuck on Winter (which is the most widely used and feminine of the three imho) at least give him two recognisably "boy" middle names to give the kid a chance of not hearing "oh I was expecting a girl!" for the rest of his childhood. Or just call him Wish and be done with it. Initials are used very infrequently- literally the only place I see mine is in work. We use them for references but anyone who has 3+ gets cut down to three anyway.

ZebraKid71 · 27/06/2018 23:55

As above, our arms a very feminine name. Also, I wouldn't use winter and ivy together and it sounds too Christmasy to me!

I do really like all three names, if they were for three different little girls.
