Baby girl name list keeps growing & not sure if I like any?

I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant with a baby girl, 1st DC. I have no clue what to call her, I think most names are ok..... But would like her to have a name I love. DP is kind of the same anything suggested he likes. Any help would be greatly appreciated we are steering on the side of more traditional names.
I can’t use any flower names though, DN has a ridiculously over the top flower name and will be the only cousin on that side.
So far on the list is;
Cora - my favourite but is very rhyming to surname.
Penny - again surname issue, think Beatles
Lydia
Matilda
Madeline
Thea
Nina -DP has vetoed
Ada
Anna
Alice...
Adeline
Charlotte
Emilia

No middle names set in stone, if it fits will have Sofia or Luisa after GM’s
Any help appreciated

I really like Thea, Anna and Matilda from your list. Anna has such a simple elegance about it and isn't used so frequently now, plus it goes really nice with mns Anna Sofia or Anna Luisa sound like royalty.

IveNoImagination · 19/06/2018 11:09

My favourite is Alice, biased though.

I also like Cora and Lydia from your list

bridgetreilly · 19/06/2018 11:21

In order, I like:

Madeline
Thea
Matilda
Ada
Anna
Charlotte
Alice
Adeline
Emilia
Lydia

ButterflyOfFreedom · 19/06/2018 11:24

I like all on your list apart from Ada, Alice, Adeline and Emilia.

My favourite is probably Anna. Closely followed by Cora and Matilda.

OhTheRoses · 19/06/2018 11:29

Alice (biased)
Charlotte

Have you thought about Eloise or Amelie?

user1498549192 · 19/06/2018 11:31

I love Anna and Lydia; both were on our list.

Suggestions:

Clara
Harriet
Claudia
Marianne

Frosty66612 · 19/06/2018 11:31

I really like Lydia, Alice, Emilia and Anna. Not keen on the others

ShirleyWilliams · 19/06/2018 11:36

Cora - like it
Penny - meh
Lydia - love it
Matilda - love it
Madeline - love it if spelt Madeleine
Thea - meh
Nina - hate it, "Eee" and "Uh" aren't nice sounding vowels! Just sounds like an ambulance
Ada - hate it
Anna - plain and boring
Alice - but boring but fine
Adeline - like it but prefer spelling Adeleine
Charlotte - love it
Emilia - I've always thought it's a bit pretentious . I prefer Emily/Amelie/Amelia

Justineshouse · 19/06/2018 13:25

Lydia and Nina are my favourites

Lois
Maria
Georgina

AnElderlyLadyOfMediumHeight · 19/06/2018 13:32

All those names are fine (actually Cora is the only one I'm not really keen on, perhaps also Adeline). My favourites are Anna and Lydia, partly as they are more uncommon. I also really like Matilda and Madeline, but I think there are more of those about. If I had to name a dd with your list and variations, I think she would be Anna Lydia Penelope (not just Penny, though it's very pretty, because of the surname issue you mention).

AnyaMoondial · 19/06/2018 14:37

Anna and Matilda are both brilliant.

SweetieJay · 19/06/2018 14:50

We keep arguing over names and the only one we both agree on for girls (we don't know what we are having) is Betsy or Phoebe. I really wanted Vivienne or Florence.

bellsandwhistles89 · 19/06/2018 15:01

Maybe it would help thinking of the nicknames people would use for them and see if this changes anything for you.

user1485342611 · 19/06/2018 15:27

Lydia and Alice are my favourites.

AmyLou14 · 19/06/2018 15:50

@sweetie it’s so hard, I love all 4 of yours. I love Betsy and I also really like Vivienne. X

It is really difficult to choose. I have a really unusual name so I wanted something different but something people had heard of so they knew how to spell and pronounce. Especially when I still get family spelling my name wrong 28 years later Smile

starkid · 19/06/2018 16:46

Nice list!

I love Cora, Nina and Penny (although possibly have Penelope as her full name?). Short, snappy but feminine and classy.
