That's nice

DragonScales · 18/06/2018 09:23

I was born without a name. It took my parents over a week to choose one - which coincidentally is also a name found in the bible.

MariaMadita · 18/06/2018 09:25

My name is the name of a saint... The middle name however is biblical.

kaytee87 · 18/06/2018 09:38

Wow, I didn't have a name for a couple of weeks. I didn't realise some babies were born with names, makes it easier for those parents though I suppose Grin

Dad2Be2018 · 18/06/2018 09:40

What was the name chosen

I don't think names should ever be made before the birth, I think when you see the child you know it's name, well! It may take afew days maybe even a week but make sure its correct for the baby, don't be a sheep and name them to do with the year of the "royal wedding' hocus pocus.

I don't have a Biblical name.

auntyflonono · 18/06/2018 09:56

I see you have opinions...

What is hocus pocus?

kocerhan3 · 18/06/2018 09:59

What's the purpose of this thread exactly?

lostfrequencies · 18/06/2018 10:13
Confused

Babies aren't allowed to be nameless for more than 3 days where I live...

So yes, I want / need a list with names I like / could live with before giving birth.

Or we may end up using a name I hate.

00100001 · 18/06/2018 16:15

I'm confused - do you want some suggestions for names from the Bible?

DanielCraigsUnderpants · 18/06/2018 16:19

Erm - Wasn't Jesus named before he was born?

annandale · 18/06/2018 16:21

We sorted the name out before birth because we hadn't been together that long and it was one of the first things we had to negotiate together. It made it all more real for us both. We took the name from a film which was popular at the time. Still wish we'd gone for Diesel or Rock.

Octopeppa · 18/06/2018 19:48

Reminds me that Peter means "Rock", the disciple named Peter who was called Simon before that.

MariaMadita · 18/06/2018 20:31

Also Saulus to Paulus.

Jacob to Israel etc...

DragonNoodleCake · 18/06/2018 21:05

My grandson is a prophet Grin

hastalavistababy · 18/06/2018 22:35

Barbie's real name is Barbara Millicent Roberts.

ParisNext · 18/06/2018 22:38

Shockingly Biff, Chip and Kipper are not their real names. True fact.

DiegoMadonna · 18/06/2018 23:34

All my children were born with names. As were the children of all my friends. Where I live, it's very unusual not to pick and share the name before the birth.

SumAndSubstance · 19/06/2018 07:16

I love the idea that giving a baby a name before it's born automatically means that you're going to name it after a celebrity child Grin.

My children have saints' names, chosen before they were born. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Picknickers · 20/06/2018 00:02

I don't get this thread but it's making me chuckle!

Dad2Be2018 · 20/06/2018 11:15

Until Shiloh come.
