See Leonard mentioned on the retro name thread and thought actually it's a nice name. Not so keen on Lenny but quite like Len. Maybe big bang theory makes it seem more accepted as a name. Anyway, what do you think?

I like Leo, but aren't fussed on any of the other versions. It's quite common where I am which would put me off personally

I really like this name and would love to see it being used more I also like Raymond.

KeefBurtain · 14/06/2018 20:32

My Leonard gets called Len or Lenny. Wouldn’t think of shortening it to Leo. I really hope it doesn’t get popular!

Sophronia · 14/06/2018 23:31

I really like it.

DiegoMadonna · 14/06/2018 23:39

I like it but I don't really like Len or Lenny.

Overall I prefer Leon. We nearly called our DS Leon.

Leonard pronounced Leo-nard would shorten to Leo or Leon in my experience.

I know a Lennard, that might shorten to Len or Lenny.

I prefer Leonard and Leonardo.

HJL2506 · 15/06/2018 09:06

I love Leonard.

I don't usually like to shorten names but Leo or Lenny are both super cute if you did.

bridgetreilly · 15/06/2018 09:30

Leonard pronounced Leo-nard would shorten to Leo or Leon in my experience.

Leonard is not pronounced Leo-nard, though, is it? It's pronounced Lennard, though it's spelt Leonard.

WrideD · 15/06/2018 15:34

Leonard has such a cute charm about it, I actually really love Lenny as well.

ZebraKid71 · 15/06/2018 16:34

I know two baby Leonards, one usually goes by Leo though.. Its fab.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 15/06/2018 17:23

If you're not keen on Lenny then I wouldn't use Leonard as it's pretty much inevitable people will shorten it.

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 15/06/2018 17:25

I work with a Leonard. Fab bloke.

He gets Leonard mostly but sometimes Leo and sometimes Lenny.
