Which do you prefer and why?

I should have stated, for a girl!

I like romy better because I know about a million Indy's. Ok slight exaggeration but it's quite popular where we live (uk)

Efferlunt · 09/06/2018 21:19

I prefer Romy. I’d assume short for Rosemary though. Don’t know if that’s your intention

IlikemyTeahot · 09/06/2018 21:19

I like both not that it helps. Why not wait and see which fits and make the other a middle name?
Also if you havent already keep saying each out loud with surname to see which sounds better.

DramaAlpaca · 09/06/2018 21:19

I much prefer Romy, but I'd use it as a nn for Rosemary as I don't see it as a name in itself, nice though it is.

Indigo isn't my style, I think of it as a colour not as a name.

Flamingosnbears · 09/06/2018 21:22

Indigo - it gives more options as a name and you'll a a colour for the nursery...

Chocolateyescakeyes · 09/06/2018 21:22

It would be Romy on BC, not keen on Rosemary at all.

I think of Indigo as a boy's name...? So - Romy.

HeyDolly · 09/06/2018 21:24

I like Romily with Romy as a nn. It was on my list but DH has vetoed it. I wouldn’t want Romy as a stand alone name.

LadyKyliePonsonbyFarquhar · 09/06/2018 21:24

Romy definitely. I'm sure it's a name in its own right - Actress Romy Schneider.

rebelrosie12 · 09/06/2018 21:25

Yes I might assume it was short for romily which I love

badg3r · 09/06/2018 21:28

Romy but from Romily. Romily gives the option of Milly instead if DD wants one (not implying that she will!!!)

Cosmoa · 09/06/2018 21:32

I was also gonna suggest Romily

RedDwarves · 09/06/2018 22:38

Romy.

I don't like Indigo or Indie.

Sessy19 · 09/06/2018 22:40

Romy is lovely.

Octopeppa · 09/06/2018 22:58

I have an irrational dislike of Romy, so prefer Indigo, even though it reminds me of the word indignant.

OliviaStabler · 09/06/2018 23:15

I don't like Romy so would go with Indie, but every time I said it I would think of Harrison Ford (my age!)

TatianaLarina · 09/06/2018 23:18

I think Romy is nice as a nn for Romilly but I don’t like Romey - (ie standalone name pronunciation.)

MrsCD67 · 09/06/2018 23:21

Indigo! So cool

Sophronia · 09/06/2018 23:30

Romy

PanGalaticGargleBlaster · 09/06/2018 23:41

Sorry but they are both awful

Bubblesoup · 10/06/2018 04:37

Not particularly keen on either, but Romy is nicer.

justanotheruser18 · 10/06/2018 07:32

Romy
