I just cant find any baby names i like, always had my heart set on the name vaughn and my DP had always agreed that it was ia nice name until now, when we are actually having a baby! he has decided he doesnt like that name now! it so unfair of him i have had my heart set on that name for as long as i can remember (i really really hope i have a boy)
i just think all the names i come across are lame (not good enough for my baby)and those baby books always have really stupid names that you wouldnt dream of naming your child
i was just wondering if anybody had some suggestions for some nice baby names
(is this cheating)

i really want a girl called marigold! think dh will veto, but i like it.

if you like 'surname' names there is bryson, ellis, elliot - oh loads...try looking at football teams, you can pick up some interesting ones in those lists.

throw a pregancy/post-natal/emotional/hormonal strop and insist on Vaughn!! When your baby is born, you'll 'know' if it suits him.
Get your DH to come up with a list, if he can't, then you win!!
Good luck with the pg!

Many people don't decide on a baby name until they see their baby and what name feels right! You could just have a short list and decide when the baby arrives.

We named DS1 Cameron after my mother's maiden name (she was an only child and essentially the end of the line) it was a nice way to carry on the family name!

23wks pregnant with DS2 and can't think of a name at all - i'm highlighting a few possibilities in my baby names book but nothing jumps out at me! - i'm sure we'll think of something in the end!

i really like the name elliott also, that was the only other name that i like, my DP has a strop when i read him list of names i have thought of (may not be names i even like, just more names) because he feels left out but then cant come up with any names! i might sit him down tonight and tell him he cant have dinner until he comes up with 10 names for each sex, lol

Its also so hard because we dont want to name it after anyone we know! so giving us limited options! i might just throw that strop and get my own way

Good plan, but maybe wait until closer to the birth, when the baby really needs a name! DD was 6 days old before DH eventually gave up and agreed to a name I'd come up with! (Though not my first choice...)
Good Luck! Keep us posted!

well then you have 30 weeks to talk tenderly to your Vaughn bump before you really need to throw that strop! Brainwash DP...

(um Hitler? What if it's a girl?)
