Doesn't have to be Alex. Lots of possible nns like Ally/Ali, Lexi (not keen), Sasha, Sandy, Sandra...

Alexandra is too long as an every day name, it will get shortened by everyone, so be realistic about that.

If ds had been a girl I wanted to call him Alexandra with Ally for short.

I love it. Classic with many variations of they choose to shorten it when older.
