Serena, Sasha, Romeo and...

Sofia, Nathalia, Victoria, Grace, Aria, Charlotte or Isabelle?

We love these names equally.. so not sure which to go for. Middle name will likely be Elena or Valentina. DC's names are Serena, Aleksandria (Sasha) and Romeo.

Which from our list do you think sounds best with the kids names/which are you favourites? We're really struggling to narrow down our selection! Grin

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I love Nathalia, shortened to Thalia, so she doesn't get called Nat. I love Elena too. I think Sofia is also lovely but very similar to your other names.

Sessy19 · 02/06/2018 07:29

The originality in your DCs names isn’t quite reflected in your names choices...the list is one of really popular names. Is that deliberate? They’re lovely names. Just very obvious.

Nathalia is the least popular, I know a couple of adults (one Nat, another Tally).

Victoria is a sweet name as well. Charlotte, Isabelle, Grace and Aria are done to death. But that’s because they’re nice. Valentina is beautiful...why a middle name?

Would you consider a Valentina Grace?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/06/2018 07:36

You need something a bit more unusual I think. There can be very few Romeos but thousands of Charlotte’s and isabelles

NancyJoan · 02/06/2018 07:42

Aria or Natalia both work well.

As for them being done to death, I don’t know any children with either of those names (work in a school of 800 girls, so I know a fair few Charlottes Isabelles and Graces)

BB2018 · 02/06/2018 09:25

I think Nathalia goes best and is a fab choice Smile

daisypond · 02/06/2018 09:31

Nathalia is lovely. I like Grace as well, but Nathalia goes better with your other DC names.

YoucancallmeVal · 02/06/2018 10:18

Ana though given your dc names, I'd probably choose Anastasia (Ana-stars-ia rather than ana-stays-ia).

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/06/2018 14:35

Sofia Valentina ❤️

Cariadxx · 02/06/2018 15:04

Is the baby a boy or a girl? Cos Romeo and Sasha are boys names but the rest of your list are girls names?

daisypond · 02/06/2018 15:10

Cariadxx The names in the header of the OP's post are the names of the children she already has, a mix of boys and girls. The names she's considering for the new one are all girls' names -Sofia, Nathalia, Victoria, Grace, Aria, Charlotte or Isabelle.

Cosmoa · 02/06/2018 15:11

@Cariadxx She already had children called Sasha and Romeo. And Sasha is unisex.

Poppyfields21 · 02/06/2018 15:16

@cariadxx it’s a unisex name, it’s a well known shortening for Alexander/Alexandra

Cariadxx · 02/06/2018 15:21

Ahhh!

bridgetreilly · 02/06/2018 21:00

In order, I like:
Sofia
Victoria
Charlotte
Isabelle (prefer Isabel)
Nathalia (prefer Natalia)
Grace
Aria

TatianaLarina · 02/06/2018 21:14

Aria, Nathalia, Tatiana

maybejane · 03/06/2018 10:45

@Sessy19 Valentina Grace would be gorgeous, but as Valentina is my aunt's name, it would feel a little strange using it for her first name. Hence why we're considering it as a mn instead. :)

@TatianaLarina Love the name Tatiana and would totally use it if my own name weren't Tiana. I would be pretty much naming my daughter after myself and I don't think I could do it Grin

Natalia is beautiful

maybejane · 03/06/2018 10:59

Thanks all. Maybe we'll try find some less popular names. Anyone have any suggestions that are similar in style to DC's names?

Funnily enough we didn't deliberately pick out popular names for little one on the way, or deliberately choose unusual names for our other kids. Roman is a family name, but we preferred Romeo and I have always loved Shakespeare. Aleksandria is also a family name, and we simply heard the name Serena whilst on holiday and fell in love with it.

I really like your existing DCs names. How about:

Thea (pronounced tay-ah)
Zora
Anastasia
Vivienne

Benandhollysmum · 03/06/2018 20:28

My nieces name is Victoria but gets called tori and prefers tori.
I don’t like Isabel, reminds me of isa from still game..
You’ve a good mix of names can see why you can tell pick one..
