For a boy. It’s a Hebrew name, like that it’s quite unusual but not too ‘out there’ Thoughts?

Ive never heard of this name before but I really like it, its unusual but in a good way.

What were reactions like when you announced it @just if you don’t mind me asking? Does it get misheard as Josh a lot?

I like it. It just makes me think of Joss Wheadon, which makes me think of Buffy, which makes me happy!

Mine's in his 20s, but it was never really mistaken for Josh. Family and friends loved it. I still love it and am glad I used it. It's unusual but not too out there, as you said. Go for it.

It's nice but feels a bit incomplete to me.

In my head it's s girl's name because of Joss Stone.

Maybe I guess it’s unisex, I know two female Jocelyns though so had no idea it could be used for men too.

I do like it but admit my first thoughts are stick or Stone.

Jocelyn is definitely a boys name too, I have met a (vair posh) one.

I rather like it. Jocelyn is a unisex name and I might assume it was short for that - I'd probably assume a girl more than a boy.

Hmm I do use Joss sticks. Wonder how long it would take for someone to pick up on that.

In 17 years I've only taught one, and he was lovely. He'd be in his 20s now - maybe it was @Justmuddlingalong's one!

In Hebrew there's no letter J so it's Yos or Yossi - short for Yosef (Joseph).
