We had decided and now Baby is being induced next Friday I'm having a wobble. Which do you like better? Thanks

I love both, sorry!
I've tried to get DH to go for Beatrix (similar!) for our second DC if a girl and he's vetoed Sad

Matilda but I would probably shorten it to Tilly.

RedDwarves · 24/05/2018 07:12

Matilda.

I've never warmed to Beatrice.

Beatrice for me as I'd prefer Bea to Tilly as a nickname.

Thanks all - Beatrice (Bea for short) was what we'd picked. I just had a last minute panic. You've reassured me.

Thanks!

Beatrice is my favourite.

MikeUniformMike · 25/05/2018 16:05

Beatrice. Matilda is nice but I don't like Tilly or Tilda.

CoffeeOrSleep · 25/05/2018 16:07

Beatrice/Bea doesn't feel as so very fashionable as now, its more of a timeless name. Whereas Matilda was out of fashion for so long, and is now very popular, it's probably going to feel dated to this generation. You meet Beatrices of a range of ages, but Matildas are either over 80, or under 10.

Go with Beatrice.

Thetimehascometo · 25/05/2018 17:51

These were my top 2 girls names!! But DH vetoed them ☹️. I’d have probably gone with Beatrice though as I prefer Bea over Tilly 😊

I love both. I've called my daughter one and the dog the other!
