What do you think (as a full name, not a nn or short for anything else)?

Just to clarify, when I say I don't like it, I mean as a full name! It's a lovely nickname. (And it's your baby!)

You could use Imogen too but may need to spell the nb Immy. I agree Emmy as a stand alone name is a bit weak. I wouldn’t like to be named it myself.

LoveInTokyo · 22/05/2018 20:56

Don’t like it as a stand-alone name. Fine if short for Emma, Emily or Emmeline.

Whitesea · 22/05/2018 20:57

Emilia is another alternative and is imo prettier than Emily or Emma.

LoveInTokyo · 22/05/2018 20:59

Yes, Emilia is nice. My main issue with Emilia is that it’s pronounced the same as Amelia, but if you’re shortening it to Emmy it’s less of a problem.

Whitesea · 23/05/2018 08:23

The child I know named Emilia is not pronounced Amelia.

I know an Emme (3) and an Emmy (1) but i prefer it as a nickname for Emmeline which i love
