We are expecting DD no 3 later this year and struggling to think of any names!

DH has declared since she is to be our last he wants to go out with a bang and come up with a completely over the top wonderful name.

So out of interest- what girls names can you think of that are a bit OTT. Or names that you would have loved to use but were too scared?

Disclaimer - I still want something pretty but simple so this is more to humour DH :)

Only have DSs so never got to use our girl name which, in a nod to DHs love of 1970s Dr Who, was Romana, shortened to Marnie. However, also loved Hephzibah.

Friend of a friend named his daughter Scarlet Rebel.

She is a bit n´all.

Imagine if she had been bookish?

Vivienne has not been mentioned yet, I don´t think.

Another vote for Hepzibah. I used to work with a lady of that name and she was so clever and sweet. Didn't have the guts to use it for my daughter, plus probably wouldn't have got it past her father...

Velvetbee · 10/05/2018 13:52

Another vote for Seraphina.

Ooh! Best part about having children is naming them... (obviously I'm joking... or am I???) Grin

In no particular order:

Hermione
Jemima (my favourite)
Genevieve
Tallulah (my second favourite)

And, for what it's worth, absolutely nothing hyphenated, ever! It will always be shortened to just the first part and sounds so chavvy/snobbish (depending upon the names). Just my opinion...

PourMeAGlass · 10/05/2018 15:02

I love Cassiopeia or Persephone Smile
