We like the name Rafferty, Rafi for short. What comes to mind for you? TIA

Madbengalmum · 09/05/2018 15:19

Horrible

Almondsupreme · 09/05/2018 15:19

I like Rafferty! Raff for an adult

Yogagirl123 · 09/05/2018 15:21

I like it, sounds great to me

mamansnet · 09/05/2018 15:22

Your child will hate you. Sorry.

sonnyboo · 09/05/2018 15:56

The Riff Raff association puts me off.

MammieBear · 09/05/2018 16:00

Surname... Similar to Harrison.

TatianaLarina · 09/05/2018 16:28

I’d think you were copying Jude Law + Sadie Frost.

If you want an unusual name, why not not one coined by a celeb?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/05/2018 18:27

It's a bit frilly, prefer Ralph.

RockinRobinTweets · 09/05/2018 18:31

I love it, esp nn of raf to rhyme with ‘safe’

I am a fan of surname names though

DramaAlpaca · 09/05/2018 18:33

Just another surname being used as a first name, and not a particularly nice one at that.

Rafael/Raphael are much nicer.

starsandstuff · 09/05/2018 18:36

I'm in both camps - I think it's a dog's name but I still like it for a kid Grin

ChevalierTialys · 09/05/2018 18:37

Rafferty is up there with Tarquin and Reign-Beau. Raphael, however, is a beautiful name for a little lad and Raph for short would make me smile every time I said it.

MollyHuaCha · 09/05/2018 18:39

No.

JustSeeingHowManyCharactersWeC · 09/05/2018 18:41

I prefer Ralph/Rafe/Raif to Rafferty.

Racecardriver · 09/05/2018 18:43

Refferty's garden. Love the sound though. The only rafferty I know of belongs to a hip professional ostentaciously gay couple.

christinarossetti · 09/05/2018 18:45

I can think no further than Judy Blume's 'Forever' when I hear 'Ralph'.

starsandstuff · 09/05/2018 18:46

Reign-Beau

Omg please tell me that's a real name a human has used for their child

MrsMarigold · 09/05/2018 18:56

No, just no. Horrid sounding and when I look at it I just think of really stinky farts.

KingTot · 09/05/2018 19:05

The only one I know is a dog and has the nickname raffles. I don't mind Raf it Rafi as a nickname but Rafferty as a full first name seems silly somehow?

Patal · 09/05/2018 19:14

Love it!

MikeUniformMike · 09/05/2018 21:50

Raf makes me think of the Royal Air Force or riffraff. I think it's a bit downmarket.

lastnamefirstfirstnamelast · 09/05/2018 21:52

I prefere Raphael, Raife is om...

lastnamefirstfirstnamelast · 09/05/2018 21:52

*ok

ToManderleyAgain · 09/05/2018 21:54

Love it, and it’s a name that suits a child and an adult

RubyFlint · 09/05/2018 22:12

Sorry no
