Are Nadia and Aria too similar for siblings? Love both names so much. What do you guys think? Smile

Seems a bit 'sing songy' for my tastes but better than Jill and Phil or something!

Lifeaback · 08/05/2018 16:51

I don't think their too similar at all- Nadia sounds quite harsh whereas aria sounds very soft so they have different feels to them

SharkSave · 08/05/2018 16:56

It's just occurred to me that this might be one of those where pronunciation varies by region. I pronounce Nadia 'nar-dia' whereas maybe others pronounce it 'nad-dia' if you're saying the latter then you'd probably be ok with Nadia and Aria

TatianaLarina · 08/05/2018 18:22

How are you pronouncing them?

MancUnicorn · 08/05/2018 22:54

Agree with SharkSave

blairsey · 09/05/2018 00:41

I pronounce the same, as 'Nar-dia'

I feel like they probably are way too similar in sound, it's just a bit of a shame!

Fine imo

RoundaboutSnail · 09/05/2018 07:38

Too similar IMHO.

sonnyboo · 09/05/2018 08:36

Too similar imo.

But I've never heard Nadia pronounced Nar-dia, only Nah-dia.

AdaColeman · 09/05/2018 08:38

Too similar I think.

What about Allegra instead of Aria? They have a similar vibe I think.
