Axl/Accel a good brother for Milo?

Finally found a name I love but how should I spell it and does it go with Milo. Second option is Rory but I don't like it as much

Milo and Rory are my two favourite names :)

Axl and Accel look like they’d be pronounced very differently ...

Spell it 'Axel' to avoid confusion and mispronunciation.

Axl or Rory definitely. Accel will just be mispronounced endlessly.

I think the usual spelling is Axel. Axl Rose spelt it like that so that his name made an interesting anagram.

Accel sounds like a payroll programme. Axel is better.

I don’t think it goes with Milo really- Rory is a better fit for a sibling pair.

I don’t really think you should worry about matching to an existing siblings name- unless you’re considering Sam and Ella or something that rhymes, it doesn’t really matter.

I've seen Accell as an old spelling, and Axwell was the norm in 18th century Shetland. Not quite as cool-looking as Axel though.

I like Rory best but if you go for Axel I prefer this spelling. Accel I would pronounce 'A-cell' so they may spend their life correcting people like me. Good luck choosing OP.

I know it as a German name, where it is 'Axel'

Accel sounds like a management consultancy slash soap dispenser.

Axl on the tv show The Middle is spelt Axl I think. I often think it needs an E in there but also thought the spelling makes it different from the thing in between two wheels. I've never thought of it as a real person name. The other son on the show is called Brick which I also think of as a TV name and not a real person name.

Rory is so popular. I know 7! From teenager to 9 month old. Three of them have to be distinguished by surname initial in my sons school (a very small school also)

Actually, I like Axel better than Rory. But only if you spell it Axel, rather than your two suggested spellings. Milo and Rory sound a bit too stereotypically posh as a pair. Imagine calling those out in a park or playground etc.

I prefer Rory. Axel, spelled Axel is OK but sounds like you wish you were German! Maybe you are!

Accel is because I know two, distantly, so I do think it's definitely name.
Rory makes me want to sing the racing car song which is why I'm hesitant but thanks everyone. Surprised by so much so much negativity I think it's a lovely name but at least I know he'll never get mixed up in school due to people with the same name haha x

Accel sounds like it should have “Limited” after it. Awful.

I really like Rory- haven't come across any at baby and toddler groups yet.

Axel is the only spelling I would expect. It doesn't 'not go' with Milo and tbh it's not often (outside of your home) that their names
will be said together so I wouldn't give that too much weight.
