What do you think of these names?

Feel free to suggest other names (not too common, but not too unusual. Also open to pretty or unisex names.)

Florence (don't like the nickname options)
Arianne (does it make you think Ariana Grande?)
Matilda (too popular?)
Aubrey (unisex which we like)

I like Aubrey and Matilda. How about Rosalie, Alice, Hazel, Clara?

Florence - like it. It doesn’t need to be shortened if you don’t like the nicknames.

Arianne - lovely, fairly unusual but not too out there.

Matilda - OK but I’m not keen on Tilly.

Aubrey - not a fan.

Suggestions:

Annabel
Aria
Audrey (like Aubrey but a classic name and I like the association with Audrey Hepburn)
Beatrice
Camilla
Eleanor
Graciela (this one is Spanish but I heard it recently and loved it, the girl calls herself Grace for short)
Helena
Jasmine
Luciana
Rosella
Susannah

I like Florence and Matilda but they are both v popular where I live.

I don’t like Arianne. I think it sounds a bit frumpy and dated. A bit like Marianne which I’m also not keen on. I actually prefer Arianna (like Grande).

I like Aubrey.

Love Hazel as suggested^^.

Nancy
Helena

Thank you for your feedbackSmile
I think my problem is there is too much choice with girls names! Boys names are much easier in my opinion.

I really like Dorothy.
You don't hear of many baby girls being called Dorothy these days.
I suppose it could end up being shortened to Dot or Dotty though I suppose...

I also like Francesca, which can be shortened to Fran or Frankie.

Or how about Anita?

Namelessnumbertwo · 11/04/2018 07:46

worrying wow Dorothy. That's been at the back of my mind for years. It reminds me of a lovely girl I used to share a room with.
Dot is a nice nickname.
DH likes it. Thank you!

Infact stagey Dorothy has the same meaning as my DS's name! Both are Greek. DS is called Theodore.
The meaning didn't really mean much to me. But on Wikipedia both mean 'gift'

My friend is called Florence, as a nickname we call her Flossie; which in my opinion is really cute.
I also really like Aubrey - It’s so pretty!

Best of Luck :D
