Help with middle names

Hi, Im getting my son registered this week but have 2 middle names picked out for him and I don't know what order to put them in.
Alexander Irvine, or Irvine Alexander?
Alexander was chosen by both me and the father but the father walked away when he was born, but I was going to keep it anyway. Irvine is a name which runs in my family so Im set on both of them. Which way around sounds better?

If those are the two middle names, the order they would sound best in depends on what the first name & the surname are. I'm not asking you to tell us & out yourself of course!

I'd think about initials too.

Of those two names on their own, Irvine Alexander flows best to me.

Alexander Irvine sounds really cool! Best of luck :)
