Lilah or Ella?

Hi ladies,

Had a baby girl yesterday and can't decide between these two names... help!

Lilah. It’s beautiful.

I like Ella, but where I live there are a lot of Ella’s.

Are you using a middle name? If so, I think that affects the choice too.

Thanks everyone! The middle name will be my grandmother's name Rita.

Don't like either but forced to chose I'd go with Lilah. Ella is very harsh.

I do prefer Lilah Rita. I suppose the one issue I'd see with Lilah is pronunciation - you could get Lie-lah or Lee-lah from people. If that doesn't bother you then I think use that over Ella - too many Ellas!

Definitely Lilah - it's lovely! A lovely lady near me has a gorgeous dog called Delilah which she calls Lilah... I like both!

How will Lilah be pronounced? Like Lie-lah? If you don't put the H on, I'd assume it would be Lee-la. If Lilah is short for Delilah, then I would definitely pick Ella.

I prefer Ella. I think it's a stronger name to be used in it's own right. Plus I don't really know how to pronounce Lilah.
