Due 4th baby September, I don't know what I'm having yet but thinking about Bella if it's a girl.

I love the name but I'm just thinking it's cute for a little girl but on a grown woman, is it abit child like/silly?

What about Isabella or Arabella, Bella for short?

eggcellent · 02/04/2018 12:30

Arabella is lovely, classic yet unusual. I'd go with that.

HoorayForHolidays · 02/04/2018 12:33

I think it's delightful. It's not my DD's name, but it's what she's called.

mumgointhroughtorture · 02/04/2018 12:37

Annabel or Annabella ?
I would give her a longer name for when she's no longer a little girl .

AuntieStella · 02/04/2018 12:38

I think Bella is a lovey name, and fine at any age.

Buddyelf · 02/04/2018 12:45

I love it, I would have had it for DD1 but dh didn’t like it

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/04/2018 12:46

I love it, but would have it short for a longer name.

mamadrummer · 02/04/2018 12:47

I love it, just worry about the twilight association!? I love Arabella so much

MealyPotatoes · 02/04/2018 12:53

I think it's great on its own or as a short form of a longer name th longer name gives the name owner options.

ChocolateCrunch · 02/04/2018 13:01

I know a 5 year old Bella, but is Isabella on bc. Never gets called her long name, but gives her the option when she's younger I'd say.

daisypond · 02/04/2018 13:11

I don't hate it, but I think Isabella/Annabella/Arabella, etc are better. Bella feels like the name for a dog to me.

stellinaa · 02/04/2018 14:06

Love it, though much better as a nn for Belle, Mirabella, Arabella or Christobelle, as these are slightly more graceful/elegant and work better for all ages.
If you really love Bella, go for it! She can always use Belle or Elle as a nn as she gets older (which are a little more refined/mature imo), don't worry too much!

SwimFin · 02/04/2018 14:08

I don't know any girl Bellas but i know 3 cats, a gerbil,a dog and a rat.
I think it's a popular pet name.

AnyaMoondial · 02/04/2018 14:34

I think Bella would be fine at any age. But personally, as others have said, I would got for Arabella as the full name just because it's awesome.

Tinty · 02/04/2018 14:46

How about iRosabelle, nicknames can be Rosa, Bella or Belle.

LadyGAgain · 02/04/2018 14:48

Love Bella. Was very popular a few year ago with the Twilight series. Fewer born now thought Isabella is classic, beautiful and remains popular.

BossWitch · 02/04/2018 14:49

I would think twilight. Definitely go for a longer form name for the bc to give her options when she's older.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/04/2018 18:41

Bellatrix.

froggers1 · 02/04/2018 18:44

I know a six year old Bella. I think it's lovely

bridgetreilly · 02/04/2018 19:04

Christabel
Annabel
Isabel
Clarabel
Arabella
Belinda

Poptart4 · 02/04/2018 19:39

Thanks for the replies. I think a longer name and Bella for short is the way to go. Still got 6 months to go so might completely change my mind but for now really liking Isobel :)

Belle or Belle is fine as a stand alone name.
