I like it! Do you have a French connection?

MrsBungle · 31/03/2018 23:41

Love it. I know a little 6 year old sylvie.

Cindyloo99 · 31/03/2018 23:48

Beautiful

LesLavandes · 31/03/2018 23:52

Love it

DramaAlpaca · 31/03/2018 23:52

Very pretty.

IsabelleSE19 · 31/03/2018 23:54

I have one! Love the name still, and get lots of compliments on it.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 31/03/2018 23:55

Very pretty but possibly old fashioned in France, rather like Susan is here?

haverhill · 31/03/2018 23:57

Love it. If DS had been DD s/he would have been Sylvie.

bridgetreilly · 01/04/2018 00:00

I prefer Sylvia.

NebularNerd · 01/04/2018 10:38

Sylvie is top of my shortlist! Smile

FusRoDah · 01/04/2018 11:02

Love it! I think it's nicer than Sylvia

stellinaa · 01/04/2018 11:18

Like it, but a little old-lady-ish for my taste, just personal preference.

daisypond · 01/04/2018 12:21

Yes, it's nice. It's very French, though, and it seems quite "elfin" to me. I don't know how current it is in France these days. I like Sylvia as well.

ReversingSnail · 01/04/2018 16:37

I prefer Sylvia, it sounds more complete.

Dogsrbarking · 01/04/2018 18:35

Nope.

thegreylady · 01/04/2018 18:57

I know a four year old Sylvie, it is a sweet name.

Raines100 · 01/04/2018 21:45

Love it! I know a 6yo and a 2yo Sylvie.

DarkRoomDarren · 01/04/2018 22:23

I also prefer Sylvia, unless Sylvie is said in a French accent, which I love.

villainousbroodmare · 02/04/2018 01:36

Love it, prefer it to Sylvia (also nice though).

KeepCalm · 02/04/2018 01:40

Love it but DH said no.... I wanted Sylvanna (after a glorious woman I knew) with Sylvie as a nn.

Ginandplatonic · 02/04/2018 01:43

Love it! Prefer it to Sylvia which does sound "old ladyish" to my ears.

RockafellerSkank · 02/04/2018 19:48

Oh KeepCalm, Sylvanna with Sylvie nn would have been glorious. Stupid DH!

I like Sylvie, and I generally don't do granny chic names.

KeepCalm · 03/04/2018 00:23

@RockafellerSkank wouldn't it just! It was an association thing from school times so I couldn't overrule she does have a ridiculously beautiful name but she'd have totally rocked being a Sylvie too!

RockafellerSkank · 03/04/2018 14:08

I'm glad she still got a ridiculously beautiful name! (Do tell!)

Pixel99 · 05/04/2018 16:57

I know a Sylvie, she is lovely. It would be a yes from me.
