We already have a bit named Felix. Thinking of Otto or Hugo. But surname is Wass. Does it sound too much like Hugo Boss or does it not matter?!

Does sound like Hugo boss but prefer Hugo over otto. Hugh?

Sophronia · 31/03/2018 20:35

I prefer Otto

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 31/03/2018 20:37

Yes, Otto !

SaraW8 · 31/03/2018 20:37

Wanted something a bit different and Otto means 8 in Italian. Really important number for me. Keep going on and off it, but Otto doesn't roll off the tongue. We thought of Hugh too, nice but not as cool as Hugo

I love Otto but not with your surname. It sounds like a toddler mispronouncing octopus.
Hugo is better.

SaraW8 · 31/03/2018 20:44

Like Hugh too (Thinking Hugh Jackman!) but not as cool as Hugo! We wanted something different and like that Otto means 8 in Italian (Very important number to me), but not sure that Otto flows off the tongue very well?

I prefer Otto but I don't think it goes that well with your surname, sorry 😬.

I think you need a name longer than 4 letters with your short surname. Felix is lovely.

SaraW8 · 31/03/2018 20:57

Ha ha hadn't said it quickly like that! 😆

I honestly don't think Hugo is cool, it's popular as a kids name ime. Doesnt mean it's uncool either but it's not a unique or standout choice.

I don't mind Otto or Hugh.

SaraW8 · 31/03/2018 21:01

Also, girls names. (Don't know the sex) Thinking Oona or Eliza. Any thoughts? Want something strong but pretty too.

Hugh Wass sounds a bit too much like ‘huge ass’ to me. Otto is nice.

RavenWings · 31/03/2018 21:04

The Una spelling is much nicer imo. I prefer it to Eliza - Eliza is fine, but nothing special. I met an Eliska once which was similar but a much nicer name.

LastNightsMakeUp · 31/03/2018 21:05

Love Eliza, if we hadn't used Elizabeth as our dds mn it's be on our list 👍

Littlemum2be86 · 31/03/2018 21:06

I love Eliza! Also like Hugo best. Think Felix and Hugo sound lovely together

SaraW8 · 31/03/2018 21:26

Thank you. Felix' middle name is Albert (my Grandads name) Think I may have chosen this for baby number 2 if we hadn't used it already. Nearly called Felix Hector. I like it but dh is not convinced.

I'm 36 weeks and Felix came at 38 weeks. You'd think that we'd have decided by now! Thank you for your help guys ☺

How about Ulla, meaning sea pearl ?

SaraW8 · 31/03/2018 21:44

I like it, another one into the mix!

Doilooklikeatourist · 31/03/2018 21:46

There is a Welsh boys name Guto ( sort of Gee Toe )
Ellis ?
For girls I like both Eliza and Oona ( Oonagh | Una )

chachaboom · 31/03/2018 21:51

Oona Wass may be mis heard as universe! Tricky but cool surname.

LexieLulu · 31/03/2018 22:12

Otto reminds me of the Simpson. I haven't even watched the Simpsons for 15-20 years! It was just my initial reaction

pieceofpurplesky · 31/03/2018 22:49

Rufus Wass and Zach Wass sound great.
Otto out of the two.

I love Eliza and also Florence goes well

CheerfulYank · 31/03/2018 22:54

Arlo?

Emelene · 31/03/2018 22:56

Eliza is fabulous with big brother Felix! Smile

Tattybogle89 · 31/03/2018 23:03
