Middle name with meaning

I really want to choose a middle name with meaning for DD2. Ideally I’d like it to honour my Dad who passed away just after DD1 was born.
Problem is his name was Guy and I’m not sure there’s a female version of that name.

Any other ideas?

Joy?

Obviously you don't have to say what it is as that might be rather outing, but is his surname suitable? Surnames as first names for girls are more usual now, like Mackenzie, so could work nicely as a middle name. Even if it doesn't, putting another surname before your DD's own just makes it sound like a double barrelled surname, which could work.

Can’t believe I didn’t think of Gaia! Good one! Doesn’t quite fit with the first name but we could always do two middle names putting something between them.

The surname is suitable but DH had vetoed as he thinks it sounds like we have double barrelled which we both don’t really like

What’s the first name? I wouldn’t worry about it not ‘fitting’, unless it sounds completely ridiculous. It is so rare that a full name is spoken out loud.

So long as it's not Maia Gaia, I think you'll be fine!
