Yes too similar imo

SwedishEdith · 21/03/2018 21:00

Yes.

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 21/03/2018 21:01

Of course.

MazDazzle · 21/03/2018 21:01

Definitely!

Lucas?

Heratnumber7 · 21/03/2018 21:01

Ditto. Yes

DinahMo · 21/03/2018 21:03

Not if they’re kittens. For human children, no. Don’t.

Oddish · 21/03/2018 21:04

I would say not but I like matching names.

HamishTheTalkingCactus · 21/03/2018 21:08

yes

renegadebehaviour · 21/03/2018 21:11

I love them - but then I've got two with very similar names (and this is constantly commented on by friends, elderly aunts, the lady in the post office..). Lucas might be a good compromise - or just go with Luca, such a lovely name!

DramaAlpaca · 21/03/2018 21:11

Much too similar.

renegadebehaviour · 21/03/2018 21:12

Oops, sorry - just seen Luca is the one you already have! Love Luna too - how about Juno (similarish!)

tarheelbaby · 21/03/2018 21:21

normally I would say no but somehow Luca and Luna sound quite sweet.

Plus, Luca (Luke/Lucius/Lucas) is 'light' - daylight - so Luna would be a clever opposite.

If you like the moon theme you could consider Artemis or Diana or even Cynthia - all names for the Greco-Roman moon/hunting/childbirth goddess.

RavenWings · 21/03/2018 21:28

Nope, too similar imo.

Ivygarden · 21/03/2018 21:29

Way too similar

EleanorXx · 21/03/2018 21:37

Yes, both lovely names though

Buntysoven · 22/03/2018 00:32

I know a Luca and Lucy sibset. Now that's close! Also a bit creepy now they're adults.

DarkRoomDarren · 22/03/2018 05:07

Was going to suggest Juno.

I think they are too similar; not because it’s too matchy necessarily, but more because if you shouted up the stairs for one of them, surely they’d not know which one you wanted. You’d have to middle name them; “Luca James!” or “Luna Rose!”

Or you could just shout “boy” or “girl” Grin. Ok, maybe not.

NinjaLeprechaun · 22/03/2018 05:12

You will constantly be calling for one and getting the other. I know somebody who has a Maya and a Micah, and that's his main complaint. You'll also get people commenting on it. If neither of those things bothers you then I don't see the problem.

HuskyMcClusky · 22/03/2018 05:13

Much too similar.

TurquoiseDress · 22/03/2018 05:24

I love both the names but for siblings I think they are far too similar

BalloonFlowers · 22/03/2018 05:27

I know a sibling pair with these names. Doesn't cause a problem, afaik.

Faintlinesquints · 22/03/2018 05:32

Too similar imo, just one letter difference. I have a Zoë and really liked Zac for a boy but decided it was too similar (had another girl anyway)

Juno is lovely as mentioned above.

I was going to suggest Lyra but perhaps that's too close to Luca too. Similar names I can think of to Luna are Stella, Nova, Aria, Bella, Aurora.

I saw online someone had twin girls named Emma and Emily.. that's way too close I think.

Cosmoa · 22/03/2018 07:59

I think they're lovely together!
