Already have dd Eva. Is Ivy too similar?

Yes, sorry.
Other short nAme ideas to compliment Eva, if that's not to forward.
Lucy. Anna. Lois. Kate. Beth. Jane. May.
Sara. Clara. Cora.

MaryWortleyMontagu · 20/03/2018 21:10

I know two siblings called Eva and ivy! It seems to work for them.

pilates · 20/03/2018 21:11

Yes
It’s a bit of a mouthful when said together.
Some good suggestions by Aww

AnyaMoondial · 20/03/2018 21:12

I think it sounds fine.

Babymamamama · 20/03/2018 21:13

Both lovely names. Go for it.

Macblondie · 20/03/2018 21:16

I think they go really well together- go for it!

OlennasWimple · 20/03/2018 21:17

They are great pair names for kittens but not DC, I'm afraid

User27839494 · 20/03/2018 21:28

Why is that Olenna? Your comment is actually quite rude as one of those names is actually her DDs.

I think they compliment each other quite nicely, OP

OlennasWimple · 20/03/2018 21:33

I said "They are great pair names"

I love them both, I just don't like them together as personally I am not a fan of matching names for children, particularly ones that are very close to each other and are liable to get mixed up by people who don't see them that often.

Pets, OTOH, are a great opportunity to use pair names

(And if you thought my post was rude, you obviously haven't read many threads on here where people ask about Jayden, Mackenzie, Chase or whether to spell it Kayleigh or Kaylee)

RavenWings · 20/03/2018 21:38

I think they are a bit of a mouthful. I don't think it's dreadful, but I'd probably look for something else.

chezmk1988 · 20/03/2018 22:19

I don't think it's too bad but I probably wouldn't go for something as close personally.

Hotteacoldheart · 20/03/2018 22:22

Iris?

guest477337 · 20/03/2018 22:37

Smilesounds lovely

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/03/2018 07:03

I think they are too similar.
Eva and Ida
Eva and Isla
Eva and Iona

India1819 · 21/03/2018 07:04

I think they sound lovely together!

LastNightsMakeUp · 21/03/2018 07:05

I think it sounds lovely. Excellent choices 😊

ivykaty44 · 21/03/2018 07:10

id rather be given my own name rather than my parents worrying if it sounds good with my sister or brothers name tbh

Unless I was going to be called Rose and I had a brother Fred then surely it’s not an issue?

bridgetreilly · 21/03/2018 13:22

I wouldn't, sorry.

lovechocolatetoomuch · 21/03/2018 15:13

Oooh I really like these together!

ursulaisawonderfulname · 21/03/2018 16:28

I wouldn't, sounds a bit twee.

TatianaLarina · 21/03/2018 16:43

Too similar. And Ivy’s not very nice.

Eva and Iona

Like. 👍🏼

DramaAlpaca · 21/03/2018 20:04

I don't mind them together, as long as Eva doesn't get called Evie, as Evie & Ivy does sound too similar.

HairyToity · 21/03/2018 20:34

I think it's fine.

MikeUniformMike · 21/03/2018 20:39

They are a bit similar but if you love the names then use them.

MadMaryBoddington · 22/03/2018 18:24

Too similar. I’d end up calling them Evie and Iva and getting myself all tangled up and confused.
