What do u think of the name of Luna? I personally love it. But tend to think if the baby goes for a job interview.
Also any middle names to Match?

I love it but would never use it because it’s everywhere. A name that started of as imaginative and fictional has become predictable and boring.

Sorry, no. I think it's silly. Lunar/lunatic/looney, etc. If you want a moon name, then I'd go for the Greek goddess Selene/Selena rather than the Roman Luna, as someone suggested, because it doesn't have such obvious moon associations (mainly negative ones).

I think it is really nice, I am a huge HP fan so yes it does make me think of that character - but then she is a great character, with lovely qualities so I can't see that it is a bad thing!
Popular is not bad - the quest to be "different" is quite tragic I think.

I was named after a character in a book who has some horrible qualities! That is worse.

I know a couple of Harry Potter fans who called their daughter Luna.

We were all a bit at first, but actually it really suits her.

I am a Harry potter fan, however I fell in love with the name when Chrissy tigen called her little girl it. I just thought it was lovely.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have a daughter called Luna. Think it’s quite commonly used in Spain.

Please do not saddle the poor child with this - she will be called Loony at school. Put it out of your mind right now.

I prefer Luma or Luana. Luna is too close to lunatic or just makes me think "moon".

It will get shortened to "Loon". I think Luna Lovegood was given that name in HP just so she could be called "Loony Lovegood" to demonstrate her ditziness.

How about Una as an alternative?

Luna is a brilliant name, whether it is after the moon or Luna Lovegood. Both are pretty fab.
Middle names: Catherine, Elizabeth; longer more traditional names might fit better. Or go the whole HP and make it Lily!
