Dogs name opinions (sorry for posting here!)

Dd's want to call new puppy Jasmine! I'm cool with it, what does Mumsnet think? Puppy will be a Shih Tzu/Bichon cross

Pups not born yet Greatduck, the puppy will be with us early June but the excitement has started now!!

It's a nice name (I like it for a human too!) Jazz is a good nickname too.

Tip - when you go and choose your puppy, ask the breeder to use when name . When we brought ours home she knew her name and it made simple training so much easier!!

I always imagine a dog called Jasmine to have red/gold/chestnut brown fur... Does that help

Jasmine is sweet,for training a short name is preferable but you could shorten it to jazz😊,yes please show pictures when she arrives!

We have a cat called Jasmine. Our Lhaso is called Ruby 😊

It's more of a cat's name. Jessamine would be better.

We used to have a German Shepherd called Jasmine, we called her Jazz for short.

Mentioned that to the dd's Rosie, but it was vetoed! They want the full name Jasmine (after the Disney Princess....)

You need to try out dog variations of the name. Jazzywazzywoo who's a good girl then, oh yes she is!
