Ok... not a name for real but I’ve just heard this name on telly - shortened to Bow - and I love it! Would never use but anyone heard it in real life?

I used to mark GCSEs and once had a paper by Rainbow Sweet. As in first name Rainbow, surname Sweet. I wanted to give her extra marks for having an amazing name. I didn't though.

One of Jamie Oliver's daughters is called Petal Blossom Rainbow (blech). Not a fan, personally. Bow is not so bad by itself, though.

Enfys is a very popular name in Wales. It’s Welsh for Rainbow.

It's awful as a name. Fine as a family nickname or for a pet but I would be embarrassed to introduce myself as Rainbow in virtually every circumstance and at virtually every age I can imagine.

Bow or Bo is nice as a nickname, but Rainbow is just mean and I usually love quirky names.

I’ve taught a Rainbow. Didn’t think it was awful at all, I think it’s nice.

Not Rainbow! I do know a Sparrow, though, and I think that’s quite sweet in a slightly less “flower power” sort of way...

I love it. The Mum on Blackish is called Rainbow shortened to Bow. I think it’s cool 😎

I have a friend who was named Rainbow. Notice I say was. She did the sensible thing, and changed it at 18, to something a bit classier!

I know a few Rainbows. Also a few Sunnys, Storms and a Dove. But I live in hippy central so that's not surprising.

My DD has a friend called Rainbow. Her two sisters have pretty bog standard, unremarkable names.

I don't think that Enfys is very popular in Wales, but it's not very unusual. It's just as bad as Rainbow.
