What do you think of the name Carey for a girl? Pronounced like CARE-EE. Thanks for your views !!

Yes, I quite like it. Carey Mulligan is the only one I know with the name.

I like it but when I first read the title I guessed it was pronounced Car-rie so they may have to correct people. It's pretty though.

I knew Carey Lander a little. A really great woman.

Makes me think of Carey mulligan. She’s pretty and seems quite pleasant (o remember reading a rather touching Alzheimer’s awareness piece she wrote) but most of the characters she plays are annoying AF so not exactly the most pleasant connotation.

It’s a Marmite name, isn’t it. I quite like it. Carey Lander is who I first think of too.

I was about to ask “Who are Mariah and Jim?” but realised just in time. Jim is Carrey with two r’s, though.

I like the name. But unfortunately it makes me think of Joni Mitchell's song, which is great, but refers to repeatedly and rather catchingly Carey as a 'mean old daddy'... So personally, I couldn't use it for a girl.

I think if the Joni Mitchell song too but the Carey in that is a man. It’s great song though

I only know a man called this but I suspect it's one of those names that's become a female name.

I love Carey- pronounced just as you say.
I knew a really lovely lady (now in her 40's)with the name, so it has good connotations to me :)
