Me and dh love Eloise as a name....can't think of a nice middle name to go with it. Ideas? I like it as I feel it's quite rare too, I don't know any Eloise's. Am I right in thinking this or is it generally a popular name?

The Eloise I know doesn’t have a middle name.
She’s the only one I know, I think.

pieceofpurplesky · 09/03/2018 20:52

I love Eloise. My friend has an Eloise Jean.
Known as Ellie (or Ellie J by parents)

MedicinalGin · 09/03/2018 20:54

I have an Eloise! She is Eloise India- bit pretentious (and I’ve probs totally outed myself) but it has lots of meaning to us. I’ve never met another one Smile

MedicinalGin · 09/03/2018 20:55

We call her Low-y ; again, but weird but it works for us.

applesandpears56 · 09/03/2018 20:58

Eloise is nice as is Elise

Eloise grace
Eloise belle
Eloise cindy
Eloise Jessica

I think you should pick a name that means something to you though like a family name

bitzy12 · 09/03/2018 21:02

Thanks so much everyone :-) Eloise means a lot to us as all the girls in mine and dhs family are weirdly named or middle named as Louise (including myself) so she will kind of be named after pretty much every woman in our family on both sides! I love that and the fact that it is quite rare but very pretty imo.

Will keep thinking about a middle name, I do like grace though. Thanks everyone x

Eloise Hope?

bridgetreilly · 09/03/2018 22:25

I do know an Eloise (and an Eloisa). It's not my favourite name but it's okay. I would pick a middle name that is short to go with it.

Eloise Maud
Eloise Kate
Eloise Juliet
Eloise Joan
Eloise Dawn
Eloise Ruth

squoosh · 09/03/2018 22:26

Was Eloise the name of the girl who lived in the hotel in Manhattan?

Sophronia · 09/03/2018 23:20

I know an Eloise Claudia

WhereIsBlueRabbit · 09/03/2018 23:22

Yes, squoosh!

WhereIsBlueRabbit · 09/03/2018 23:24

Eloise Madeleine
Eloise Rosamund
Eloise Rebecca
Eloise Clare
Eloise Frances

ErrantBakedBean · 09/03/2018 23:53

I think it's getting more popular - I've seen it on here more and more (keeping an eye as Eloisa is on our list). I do love it though.

mischiefmanaged01 · 10/03/2018 00:09

I know an Eloise Kate and think it works quite nicely.

I love the name, but the husband vetoed it 🙈

thegreylady · 11/03/2018 14:39

My cousin Eloise has Daniella as a middle name.

Cosmoa · 11/03/2018 14:46

I love Eloise Dawn!

NameChangeDestroyer · 13/03/2018 15:35

Eloise was 112th most popular name in 2016 so I personally wouldn't describe it as rare, but equally, I wouldn't describe it as popular/common.

Eloise Penelope
Eloise Lorraine
Eloise Edina
Eloise Marina
Eloise Rain

boomboom1234 · 13/03/2018 15:47

I really like it I only know one who is grown up. I think a one syllable middle name goes well - what about Rose or May?

RockinHippy · 13/03/2018 16:01

IME it's far from rare, about 2/3 of the Ellie's we've met over the years (which is a lot) are actually Eloise's. If you want rare, I would suggest Heloise instead, I've only ever known one & it's just as pretty a name.

Rose is a common mn here with Eloise, though I think it's just a common mn full stop, but does work well

eloisesparkle · 02/04/2018 11:09

Eloise Anna
