Boys

Paloma and Nathaniel or Luca are really lovely.

YerAuntFanny · 05/03/2018 05:45

Girl - Zara

Boy - Luca or Nathaniel.

Although I don't think the middle names go with any of these but I really dislike the other names.

Afternoon · 05/03/2018 07:30

I like Zara, Paloma, Isaiah, Joseph, Nathaniel.

userabcname · 05/03/2018 07:49

Girl - Ophelia or Zara
Boy - Oscar or Ezra

chezmk1988 · 05/03/2018 14:56

Ezra and Rainey although would probably go with Raina and use Rainey as a nn

LarkDescending · 05/03/2018 15:07

For girls I like Zara, Paloma and Astrid from your list - probably would put Zara Grace top of the list.

For boys, many of your choices are not my style but I do like Oscar Jack. I like Joseph too, but not so much with middle name Jack.

upsideup · 05/03/2018 16:44

Girls
Ophelia (NN Effie / fifi), Clemmie or Essie

Boys
Ezra, Arlo or Luca

Glumglowworm · 05/03/2018 20:02

I’m not a fan of your girls names, Zara would be my choice of those

Boys, I like most of them but actually Isiah is my favourite, which is surprising as it’s not a name i would’ve thought of normally

greendale17 · 05/03/2018 20:05

Zara
Oscar

SuperBeagle · 05/03/2018 20:17

Ophelia or Zara.

Oscar. I like Joseph but not with the middle name Jack.

daisypond · 05/03/2018 20:36

Girls - Zara, or Paloma maybe. Definitely not Ophelia, Essie, Clemmie or Rainey. I don't like Astrid either.
Boys - all are OK, though Luca only if you're Italian, although why Paloma seems OK is a mystery as that's equally foreign. Not keen on Arlo particularly, and I'd spell Isiah as Isaiah, and Alfie is a diminutive, so I don't really like it.

FairyFantastic · 05/03/2018 21:30

Zara - the clothing brand
Paloma - love it, on my list
Astrid - love it, on my list
Ophelia (NN Effie / fifi) - like it, Effie is nicer than Fifi imo
Clemmie - Clammie. Not a fan
Essie - ok
Rainey - nope

Ezra - love it, on list
Oscar - ok
Isiah - ok
Joseph - nice
Arlo - like it
Alfie - so many, but ok
Luca - ok
Nathaniel - like it

AdaColeman · 05/03/2018 21:40

Paloma or Astrid.

Not at all keen on Clemmie (though I do like Clementine) Essie or Rainey, and Ophelia is a bit "trying too hard".

Arlo or Nathaniel.

Not keen on the rest of your boy's list, especially Oscar and Isiah.

lecossaise · 06/03/2018 01:19

Zara - meh ok
Paloma - like but Paloma Grace is far to much like Paloma Faith
Astrid - no
Ophelia (NN Effie / fifi) - could you just call her Effie?
Clemmie - sounds like clammy
Essie - cute
Rainey - awful

Boys
(MN Jack)
Ezra - nice
Oscar - fine but very boring with Jack
Isiah - like
Joseph - too many Js
Arlo - this is a brand of yoghurt where I live.
Alfie - Would go Alfred, Alfie is too cutesy.
Luca - love
Nathaniel - hate but only because I knew a twat called that.

Cavender · 06/03/2018 01:24

From your lists Astrid and Isaiah (am I wrong in assuming Isiah is potentially a typo?)

I really don’t like Rainey or Clemmie but the others are ok.

Flipflopflipflap · 06/03/2018 06:20

Thanks all - you would be correct in spotting my 330 am typo! Isaiah not Isiah

I really like Ophelia. We have a clementine which gets shortened to Clemmie :) nathaniel from the boys.

Periclymenum · 06/03/2018 07:22

Just thinking through baby names in a mad five minutes sort of way and am interested in your opinions-

Girls
(MN Grace)
Zara - sounds a bit hard to me
Paloma - Palomino horse
Astrid - love
Ophelia (NN Effie / fifi) - pretty, maybe too Shakespeare
Clemmie - I would go with Clementine which I love, ( sadly can't use because of our surname)
Essie - nail polish
Rainey - no

Boys
(MN Jack)
Ezra - love
Oscar - cute
Isiah - love Old Testament names!
Joseph - classic
Arlo - unsure of this or deravation
Alfie - cute but too many, Alfred?
Luca - nice
Nathaniel - love

17caterpillars1mouse · 06/03/2018 11:20

Zara - I really like it. It feels fiesty
Paloma - love it
Astrid - it's really really growing on me
Ophelia (NN Effie / fifi) - not a fan though like Effie
Clemmie - sweet as a nn for Clemency or Clemency though I love the simplicity of nn Clem
Essie - love it as a nn for Elspeth
Rainey - not a fan

Ezra - my top choice at the moment but worried it's a bit faddy
Oscar - like but I know quite a few
Isiah - not a fan. Is it meant to be Isaiah?
Joseph - nice classical name
Arlo - not a fan and it's definitely faddy
Alfie - nice but are they not enough of them already
Luca - handsome but simplistic name
Nathaniel - it's on my list but I'm unsure about Nate

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 06/03/2018 11:37

I like Oscar Jack and Joseph Nathaniel.
Also, Zara Grace and Clemmie Grace.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 06/03/2018 17:40

Astrid and Paloma are nice but not keen on the others. I love Clementine and Clemency but really don't like Clemmie.

I like Oscar and Joseph. Elijah?
