I love it. I am pregnant and this is the name I have chosen if I have a boy.

userabcname · 03/03/2018 13:01

Love it! I was having a little daydream yesterday about what I'd call another boy if I ever have one and Oscar was on my list!

chezmk1988 · 03/03/2018 13:01

Wouldn't choose it for myself but it's a nice name

MikeUniformMike · 03/03/2018 13:02

No.

BalloonDinosaur · 03/03/2018 13:03

Something we considered for DS, I do like it, but it's got a bit of a dog/cat name connotation for me.

MikeUniformMike · 03/03/2018 13:46

Me too. I've heard it called out in the supermarket (not Waitrose or M&S Food) and that put me off it.

daisypond · 03/03/2018 13:48

I like it. I only know one - he's in his early 20s.

GaraMedouar · 03/03/2018 13:52

I like it. Was almost DS2’s name.

frasier · 03/03/2018 13:59

Love it. I know one, he's "Osky" for short which is a bit odd as it isn't shorter at all!

ChocolateCrunch · 03/03/2018 14:05

I like it, only know one aged 8.

pipilangstrumpf · 03/03/2018 14:07

Don't like it, sorry. Also dislike nickname Ozzy

Saz1995 · 03/03/2018 14:07

I love it! I am biased though as my little mans name is Oscar :)

incorruptibledream · 03/03/2018 14:10

It's my cats name

Pickledgerkingsareathing · 03/03/2018 14:16

BingBunnyTheBrat · 03/03/2018 14:25

I liked it for DC1 but was put off by the popularity unfortunately (currently number 10)

Hairymaclarysit · 03/03/2018 14:48

Love it

Topseyt · 04/03/2018 17:42

uncoolnn · 04/03/2018 17:51

bridgetreilly · 04/03/2018 20:39

Great name.

Minster2012 · 04/03/2018 20:49

The last 2 boys I know have been named Oscar, very popular so depends if that makes a difference to you as it seems to be popular around the country

PositiveVibes18 · 04/03/2018 20:52

Cute

FreeNiki · 04/03/2018 20:53

Lovely name. Works well on a boy and a man.

happytobemrsg · 04/03/2018 20:56

I love this name but DH said we can't use it because husband friend has a cat called Oscar Confused

Joeybee · 04/03/2018 21:13

My friend has just had a baby who she named Oscar. It's a lovely name that fits different personalities - I can imagine a cheeky Oscar, sporty Oscar, gentle, shy Oscar....whatever.
It does sound a very middle class name, I think. Kind of fits in with Hugo, Felix and Maxamillian.
If my Husband hadn't vetoed this name, it'd def be a contender.

DreamingOfAHotBeach · 04/03/2018 21:17

I don't like it. It's a black labrador's nameGrin
