2 middle names

DS has 2 middle names because we had 2 people we wanted to honour by including their names. It was very important to DH & I.

Does this mean that any future DC should have 2 middle names as well?

Well, we felt that yes, it did.

We have 4 DS.

By the time it came to naming DS4 we were struggling for middle names.... Grin

I don't think that there is a law that states you must give all your children the same number of names though - do what you are comfortable with.

I have middle name and my sister doesn't.

My 2 daughters don't but new baby has one.

It doesn’t HAVE to but I would. I have two middle names, so do both my siblings. My children will have two. DP has none but his sister has one, he feels (very mildly) jipped about it!

My dad's older brother and younger sister both have a middle name, my dad does not - he too is mildly irked by this. He's 84, but still Grin

Yes, my two have two middle names, but both have the same name as their second middle name.

We have ds one middle name. Then dd came along and there were two family members we wanted to honour so she has 2. Never been an issue- just takes dd longer to fill in forms.
