Honest opinions please as I don't want to curse her with a stupid name !

Our last name is Hayes and my favourite first name is Summer. Does it sound weird... too much like a summer haze?!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AndTheyLivedHappilyEverAfter · 25/02/2018 15:03

It's pretty but my first thought was Summer Haze. Guess it depends on how much that would bother you.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 25/02/2018 15:05

It sounds a bit jokey to me sorry. Like Winter Day, Scarlett Carr etc. It doesn’t sound too awful unless you’re the one that has it.

SugarDarling · 25/02/2018 15:07

It sounds like a travel brochure 😳
Sorry 😐

seven201 · 25/02/2018 15:11

It's a no don't do it from me

eddiemairswife · 25/02/2018 15:13

Geographical location?

SparkleFizz · 25/02/2018 15:13

Agree it’s not a good first name-surname combination.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/02/2018 15:15

It doesn't sound like Summer Haze. It is Summer Haze. Only difference is the spelling.

goose1964 · 25/02/2018 15:16

Ra family member's address is Summerhayes

Lovesagin · 25/02/2018 15:16

Love summer but the combination with Hayes sounds a bit try hard.

Knittedfairies · 25/02/2018 15:17

Summer is a lovely name but not with your surname... it sounds a bit like a caravan park at the seaside.i

Arapaima · 25/02/2018 15:17

I think it’s fine. ‘Summer haze’ isn’t exactly a commonly used expression. If your surname was Day that would be different Grin

bridgetreilly · 25/02/2018 15:17

Summerhays is a place name as well, I think. Sorry, OP, but I'd think again.

BikeRunSki · 25/02/2018 15:19

Sounds like an addrsss, a bursting home, a paint colour or an elderly lady detective. Then I thought “makes me feel fine....” althoughthst’s Summer Breeze.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/02/2018 15:19

It's not just about it bothering the op, Is it.
What about the poor child who could be saddled with a such a dreadful name. Well Put it this way I'd mind. I've done enough moaning to my parents for Calling me bloody Clare. Let alone Sunmer Hayes.

BikeRunSki · 25/02/2018 15:20

“Bursting home” = nursing home

Fekko · 25/02/2018 15:20

Air freshener.

Shopkinsdoll · 25/02/2018 15:20

I love the name summer it’s lovely. Don’t see anything wrong with it all together. Can’t you add a middle name to break it up

eddiemairswife · 25/02/2018 15:22

It is a housing estate in Willenhall, near Walsall.

Whattodowhattodowhattodo · 25/02/2018 15:24

Haha that's my question answered! Now to get thinking of new names! Grin

Allthebestnamesareused · 25/02/2018 15:27

Air freshener was my first thought too. Sorry.

Emily7708 · 25/02/2018 15:29

I really like it Blush

Helsingborg · 25/02/2018 15:32

Summer Haystacks is what my dh just suggested as a cruel nickname.

tobee · 25/02/2018 16:51

A bursting home sounds a bit worrying. 😱

MikeUniformMike · 25/02/2018 18:30

Clare is a lovely name, but I prefer it with an i. I like Summer.

Glitterspy · 25/02/2018 18:32

Don't google Jenna Haze then
