Which of these girls’ names do you like the best and why, and what do you think of the other ones?

Any other suggestions welcome!

Eliza
Rowan
Willow
Hazel
Robyn
Síofra (she-fra, means “fairy” in Irish)

Opinions and any other suggestions welcome. Smile

I love Hazel.

Siofra sounds lovely but I would only use if you can cope with people not knowing how to add the special i! Grin

HotCrossBunFight · 23/02/2018 16:56

I like Hazel.

Also Síofra but it may be annoying explaining how to pronounce it to everyone. Do you have Irish family?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/02/2018 17:04

Eliza Willow or Robyn. I'm not thrilled about the others. I can't give a reason why.
More suggestions
Laila. Rosa. Laura. Niamh. Louisa. Violet. Helena. Mabel. Martha. Faye. Emilia.
Amelia. Sophia. Natalia. Alicia. Maria.

LarkDescending · 23/02/2018 17:04

I love Eliza! Classic but with a bit of attitude.

Hazel is nice too.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/02/2018 17:06

Alannah. Georgia. Jessica. Nina. Keira. Erin

Arapaima · 23/02/2018 17:08

My favourites are Rowan and Robyn.

The problem with Willow is that I think of ‘willowy’ ie tall and slender, and what if she turns out to be short and chubby?!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 23/02/2018 17:08

I was just thinking today how nice the name Eliza is! I know 2 under 6 months.

I would pick Hazel! Doesn't go with our surname, boo!

ChocolateCrunch · 23/02/2018 17:09

I like all on your list, apart from Siofra, sorry. Probably put Eliza first with Rowan and Willow joint second. Chose them because of their sound, if that makes sense.

Blackteadrinker77 · 23/02/2018 17:24

I love Willow, I like old English names

Elfyn · 23/02/2018 17:26

I like them all but would pick Hazel or Eliza myself.

pilates · 23/02/2018 17:29

I only like Eliza

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 23/02/2018 17:37

I love Willow.

Aurea · 23/02/2018 17:43

Willow, although beautiful, to me is someone tall and slender. Is she's short and dumpy, not so good?

DramaAlpaca · 23/02/2018 17:47

I like Hazel & Eliza.

I do like Siofra (can't do fada on phone, sorry) but it has to be pronounced properly. It's not quite how OP described it, there's another syllable in the middle. Sort of Shee-uf-ra. If you'd pronounce it differently I really wouldn't use it.

Cosmoa · 23/02/2018 17:58

Síofra is beautiful! Willow is also one of my fave names!

Don't like the others.. No particular reason why.

mondler · 23/02/2018 18:03

Eliza - love the sound of it
Rowan - some reason I relate this as a boy's name but unisex names are growing in popularity
Willow - Love but is starting to get popular if that bothers you
Hazel - Love it
Robyn - One of my favs and definitely on my list
Síofra - its pretty but I prefer names that are easy to say/pronounce but again totally your choice.

Great list OP! We do have some common names we like so here's a few others on my list in case they help:

Heather
Fern
Zoe
Harriet
Autumn
Jasmine

FluffyFerrets · 23/02/2018 18:20

I love Willow.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/02/2018 18:22

Willow or Hazel.
I also like the full list above, from @mondler.

OutyMcOutface · 23/02/2018 18:24

Hazel I suppose. Willis is also nice. Rowan is a bit masculine.

AnyaMoondial · 23/02/2018 18:33

Eliza and Hazel both awesome. Eliza Hazel sounds good as a first and middle too.

Afternoon · 23/02/2018 18:33

I like Willow best, then Robyn.

LoveInTokyo · 23/02/2018 19:35

I like them all except Willow.

I would spell Robyn Robin though.

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/02/2018 19:44

I like Eliza best

Closely followed by Hazel

greendale17 · 23/02/2018 19:45

Rowan

pumpkinpieinmyeye · 23/02/2018 19:46

I like Robyn, I think it sounds warm and friendly
