I like Augustus nn Gus, but I'm not thrilled about August. (Auggie).
Is he düe in August?.
Don't like Linus.

To end on a positive Ezra is gorgeous.

honeylou42 · 19/02/2018 13:25

Love Linus Smile

pipilangstrumpf · 19/02/2018 13:52

Love Linus and August! Great strong classic names that aren't too popular.

Ezra sounds a little girly to my ears

ChocolateCrunch · 19/02/2018 13:53

I like Linus best, with Ezra second. Prefer Augustus (Gus) to August.

glitterbiscuits · 19/02/2018 13:54

I’m with everyone else. Augustus is better.

I quite like all three names

Barre · 19/02/2018 14:14

All good nanes but August “Augie” is my favourite by a mile!

NameChangeDestroyer · 19/02/2018 14:16

Linus unless you intend to use Gus for August

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 19/02/2018 17:53

Linus.

Catinthebath · 19/02/2018 17:54

Love Ezra but then both me and my son have OT names too

thecraddock · 19/02/2018 17:54

Try hard

pipilangstrumpf · 19/02/2018 18:00

Why would you not try hard to find a great name for your child Confused?

I love August and Linus!

shetookshelter · 19/02/2018 18:04

I love Ezra.

Hate Linus.

Like August but am put off that it is a month and I find that weird, so I'd prefer Augustus.

bridgetreilly · 19/02/2018 18:48

Augie sounds awful to me. Gus is a great name.

userabcname · 19/02/2018 19:07

I like August and Ezra (I do know a few baby Ezras, not sure if it is becoming more popular?). Don't like Linus.

17caterpillars1mouse · 20/02/2018 13:17

See I prefer August as I thought Augustus would be seen as too pretentious or 'try-hard' is this not the case?

Linus - awesome name Smile

TulipsInABlueVase · 20/02/2018 15:10

Like August but Auggie is awful (sounds like something else).

Ezra is okay but the a ending is feminine.

Buntysoven · 21/02/2018 23:02

Linus makes me think of sinus and Snoopy. August not my style and LOVE Ezra. Your baby though OP

Gates · 21/02/2018 23:35

Ezra

MikeUniformMike · 21/02/2018 23:35

Augustus is fine. Augustine is fine but twatty people will mistake it for a girl's name. August isn't good and has two pronunciations. Aug-UST and AUG-ust.
Gus is fine, Augie is wrong.
Ezra is not very nice, and will be Ez. It's probably zipping up the name charts.
Linus is great.

DramaAlpaca · 22/02/2018 00:59

Linus is the least worst. I'm not a fan but it's heaps better than the other two.

masktaster · 22/02/2018 05:12

There might be a mini spike of Auggies this year, as it's the name of the protagonist in "Wonder", the film of which is being released soon/released (I lose track). Might not, but worth knowing if you don't want to field a lifetime of "is he named after..." from people who might remember.

None quite to my taste, but probably like August best despite the above.

pipilangstrumpf · 22/02/2018 08:07

Augustine is the feminine version of Augustin.

I like Augustus best.

Joeybee · 23/02/2018 05:27

OMG Linus.....I love that name. It's so underused. However it's a pretty classic, strong name. Also it's not too common, but not so uncommon to be strange. Everyone would know how to spell and pronounce it too.

Ezra sounds too feminine to me, and is trendy...I think it'll just suddenly become very dated.

August is nice...prefer Augustus though, which you could still get Auggie from.

TenThousandSpoons · 23/02/2018 06:04

Ezra is my favourite by a long way.
Linus ok but makes me think of Snoopy/Charlie Brown. Was it the boy with the blanket?
August/Augustus makes me think of a fat boy in a chocolate factory and Auggie is dreadful.
