Thank you, you wonderful people, for putting up with endless angst from me over this baby's name! Our first dd was so easy! We've decided on Tasmin Angelica. Phew.

I'll never under why people on mumsnet are so harsh about names that someone's picked for their baby, it's such a personal decision and everyone has different tastes!

She will be called Tamsin by everyone though-! and will spend her life correcting it. Argh are you sure?

I know two Tamsins and they have NEVER been called Tammy.

It's a valuable service on here, you get the honest response. And a. it's not yet your baby's name, and it's only a good thing if people critique it as they may throw up something you hadn't considered and will kick yourself for later and b. it's all anonymous and we'll never meet you or your baby!

People here aren't horrid, they're honest. In a way no-one in real life will ever be about your choice of baby names!
