Inspire me with names for my identical twins!

They are due in the summer, so we have time but need to start opening mine and DP's minds up to ideas! Identical twins, we don't want too 'matchy' names but also don't want them to grate against each other. We already have a boy called Finn. We have some Irish heritage but live in England, a nod to Irish would be nice but not essential, I'm more English than Irish. I hope that makes sense. Please hit me with your name suggestions to get the ball rolling! Thanks

Thanks everyone, there's certainly a lot of ideas to mull over. I definitely think girls names are easier than boys. But Aiden, Daniel, Matthew and Lawrence have also made it onto my long list so I'll have a chat with DP and see if we can agree on any! I've also got a few girls ideas from this thread but have also realised I was struggling less with them!

I think different names, but similar length would be good.

jennifer86 · 16/02/2018 17:29

Yes, I agree, Ricotta. I'm aiming for different but with similarities eg. Length, origin, general 'feel' of the name etc.

I would try not to think of them as twins as far as names go. Draw up a list of names you like first, then pick them as you would if it was just for one.
I would go for similar types of names but ones that don't sound alike.
Then rule out any.
I would go for different number of syllables or different sounds.

MikeUniformMike · 16/02/2018 18:15

I love Alice and Lucy.

Yika · 16/02/2018 18:20

Owen and Sean
Ciara and Una

Fergus and Adrian

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 16/02/2018 19:01

Caleb and Jackson I think go really well with Finn
Jacob and Noah
Wyatt and Grayson
Joshua and Lucas
Xavier and Austin
Tyler and Zachary

Just a few. I find it so easy with the boys names, I struggled more with the girls. Hope this helps or gives a few ideas 😊
