... a nice name ? What do you think of that name for a boy?

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 10/02/2018 00:13

I like it. But would spell it Nico and use it as a shortening for Nicholas.

JassyRadlett · 10/02/2018 00:16

Agree on Nico, it’s nicer.

Where I come from in Australia, a Nikko is a permanent marker.

TittyGolightly · 10/02/2018 00:19

As in Rosberg?

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 10/02/2018 00:24

Sounds like a name given to the lead man in one of those Mills & Boon books in an attempt to make him to sound exotic and mysterious.

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 10/02/2018 00:27

Nicole reminds me of that teenage character from hollyoaks Nico Blake, her parents were brother and sister (twins) and she was a bit psychotic and a serial killerGrin

I do like Nicole, Nicola, Nicholai, Nicolette, Nicolina (nick oh Leena/ Nick oh line uh)

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 10/02/2018 00:28

NewYearNiki · 10/02/2018 00:29

Nico is cuter, niko looks a bit like a brand name for something.

Apple23 · 10/02/2018 00:40

It's Polish, pronounced Neeko, short for Nikodem.

MorningstarMoon · 10/02/2018 00:45

No but only because I know a Nico and I absolutely hate him. The kind of guy who pulls the I can do whatever I want I'm insert here yeah crack on sunshine

Lennythelion14 · 10/02/2018 13:33

Love it. As some have said, use Nicholas or Nicodemus and then have Niko as a nickname. Gives him a choice of a formal name and a nice nick name.

MikeUniformMike · 10/02/2018 13:41

I'd go with Nico, short for Nicodemus.

floriad · 10/02/2018 14:04

I like it :) are you Finnish? (the Niko I know is from Finland.)
I also like Nicholas, Nikolas and Nikolai.

FannyHertz · 10/02/2018 14:17

I know both a boy and girl Nico, not short for anything. I like it!

BlackberryandNettle · 12/02/2018 22:18

Do you mean pronounced 'Neeko' or pronounced 'Nicko' ? I'm never sure when I see Nico. Both are nice, I'd assume they were short for a longer name though eg Nicolas

Toodlepip14 · 12/02/2018 23:22

Again, Xavier is better

thepatchworkcat · 13/02/2018 20:04

I know a Nico, short for Domenico (Italian) - I like it.

OuchBollocks · 13/02/2018 20:06

There was a German language programme on BBC2 many years ago about a Romanian man moving to Germany. The lead character was Niko.
