I prefer Cecily. Cecelia is a bit hard sounding to me.

I know one adult Cecelia and she has a surprising amount of trouble with people saying/spelling her name remotely correctly.

It's a lovely name, but that might be worth considering.

It's a pretty name, and unusual. I think it's spelled Cecilia though. What would you call her for short - Sissy, Celie or Cece (sp?) or something else?

Yes i think Cecilia is better.

Other possible contenders are Beatrice or Emilia (but DH least favourite)

What about Celia? That's what I would have called our second child if she wasn't a boy!

We considered it had DS1 been a boy. I like the nickname cece for a little girl. I think I prefer just Celia though thinking about it, Cecily is too close to Cecil for me!

I remember Chris Eubank doing a presenter slot on Top of The Pops years ago and announcing "Here's Thethelia by Thuggs".
A nightmare for any one with a lisp.
