Having said nothing old fashioned as it themes too much with our Nancy and with just 9 weeks to go I've started to panic and thrown out all rules! Any of these any good?
Zola
Vera
Merryn
Thanks.

I love Merryn but what do you like and what could you imagine calling your child in the park. For example, I love the name Raphael and it was on our boys' names shortlist but I just couldn't imagine myself calling the name or any of the dimutuves in real life ifyswim.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 02/02/2018 22:43

I like Vera and the nickname Vee

ChocolateCrunch · 02/02/2018 23:09

Merryn

DuggeeHugs · 02/02/2018 23:26

Merryn

IVflytrap · 02/02/2018 23:34

I love Merryn, and Vera is lovely and needs to make a comeback. Zola makes me think of a male footballer, so would pass on that one personally.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 03/02/2018 05:12

Absolutely love Merryn.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 03/02/2018 06:20

Merryn is lovely! By far the nicest on your list. Love Nancy too fwiw.

Swearwolf · 03/02/2018 06:38

I love Vera! I wouldn't worry about being too matchy matchy, just pick a name you like. It's hard enough! I always thought Margot sounded nice with Nancy.

Twooter · 03/02/2018 06:39

Merryn

FirstTimeMom12 · 03/02/2018 07:36

Vera or
How about Zora / Nora instead of Zola?

Elfyn · 03/02/2018 08:12

Love Merryn!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 03/02/2018 08:36

Vera is dreadful. Zola isn't much better, sorry. Merryn is pretty.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 03/02/2018 09:22

Margot is lovely too.

holidayqueriwifi · 03/02/2018 09:57

Nancy and Betsy

Nancy and Josephine

Nancy and Sylvia

MerryMarigold · 03/02/2018 10:00

Never heard Merryn, but love it. I nearly called dd Meredith. Dislike Vera. Love Nancy too. Zola a lot too. Love Z names and Zola Budd was cool.

FizzyGreenWater · 03/02/2018 10:02

Sally

alpineibex · 03/02/2018 10:21

Merryn.

I knew a Merryn who went to my school, nobody thought it was weird at all. I love it.

daisypond · 03/02/2018 11:47

I like Merryn, and Vera could grow on me. Zola is a surname to me - the French author or the foorballer. Or Zola Budd, the runner.

dotdotdotmustdash · 03/02/2018 11:58

Merryn, totally.

LadyGAgain · 03/02/2018 12:04

Merryn is a happy sounding name. I'm afraid I dislike Vera a lot.

TillyTheTiger · 03/02/2018 12:14

Merryn is gorgeous, I've never heard it before but love it.

DramaAlpaca · 03/02/2018 13:34

None of them are my style but they all work with Nancy.

HappyLollipop · 03/02/2018 13:39

Merryn is lovely, its only name I like on your list!

Buntysoven · 03/02/2018 14:41

Merryn is OH choice! I have fallen hard for Vera...he cant get past the Duckworth connection (old git 😂) It's so hard when your favourite cousin accidentally nicks the name you've chosen!

Sorry dh is right. And anyway it doesn't sound nice. Rhymes with sneer and leer. Just sounds like the name of a baddie. It's ok in other languages. I know Portuguese one, but it's pronounced Vaira which is much better.
