Middle name for Theodore/Theo

My baby boy is coming up to 2 weeks old now and still has no middle name. Traditionally on my side of the family we reuse family names but thanks to a lot of boys born the ones I like have been used in this generation including by my 2 year old.

Any family names I could use are just too...well...horrible.. think trevor etc. So I've given up hope of using something meaningful.

I quite like names like Oscar, Sebastian and Elijah but husband isn't as keen. Any suggestions?

I love Theodore James (plus its my grandads middle name so would but perfect) but unfortunately it's the name of a long term ex so and that freaks the hubby out so he's said no.

Think Theodore Henry sounds the best of those suggested so far.

Or given that Theodore is so closely associated with POTUS Theodore Roosevelt why not use the name of another president too?

Could you use another form of the family names? If it's a name like Trevor, could you use the Welsh form Trefor instead? Admittedly, it wouldn't work with Theodore as a first name, but you get the idea. Instead of Gavin, could you use Gawain, etc?

My grandson was born and named Theo Red. Yep he had red hair and the only great grandson or grandson to do so. Great grandfather was nicknamed Red.
