Xavier

Arabella Darcy, Marianne Lila, Penelope Cleo, Saskia Madeline and Raphael Dean are his older siblings. His full name would be Xavier Gabriel. Xavier is my dad's name. Thoughts?

It's a fun name and goes with the others. However, people will pronounce it differently, for example, X-a-v-er or Zav-e-a. Would that bother you?

Love it. I looked after a Xavier once he was adorable and such an unusual name 😍

I know two Xaviers. Both answer to Zav.

As you’ve already got a Gabriel I’d be tempted to call him Raphael with Xavier as a middle name.

I like Gabriel more than Xavier but I guess it would be a bit themey as a first name with a Raphael in the family too!

Don't hate Xavier, but I would be put off by the many different pronunciations. I know a Polish Xavier who should properly be Ksav-yair, but everybody seems to call him Zav-ee-ay, as if he was French! Zay-vee-er would be the default pronunciation for me. Also, I think it has quite strong connotations of being a very religious Catholic - would that be a problem for you?

Honestly, I'd rather flip it round and have Gabriel Xavier, but it's not the worst name I've heard.

I know two and both get called Zavi. Lovely name.

This has made me a very, very happy lady. I think Gabriel & Raphael would be a little too themey although I love the names as brothers but I want Xavier for my dad and it is a beautiful name so I would prefer it as a first I think. However, I would like to ask some questions! All of our kids have some sort of familial connection in their names minus my eldest. Marianne has an M first name which links with my husband's parents and sister. Penelope's first letter is P like my DH's sister. Saskia's middle name was chosen by DH's other sister (lots of sisters!!) and Raphael's first name is an R like my mum whilst his middle name is DH's brother's middle name and dad's middle name. And my sweet little Arabella, who is my eldest but not DH's biological child has no little intertwining name and I am all of a sudden a bit worried I am leaving her out. I mentioned to her that we were thinking of that name and she shrugged. I asked whether she minded and got a MUMMM leave me aloneee!
Do you think she'd be bothered?!
