Really can't decide this!

Im 39 weeks with a surprise and need to narrow down on a girls name (If boy either Thomas or George).

I liked Emmy but some of my friends say it reminds them of the Emmy AwardsHmm
Not that its a bad thing i said.

I like Emme but i think will pronounce it just Em rather than Em-me

So its either

Emmy Louise
Emmie Louise
Emmi Louise
Georgia Louise
Elena Louise
Libby
Elizabeth Louise (nn

Any thoughts?

Emmy to me sounds very nick nameish and I'd go with Emma for the certificate and call Emmy day to day.

Or Elizabeth- lots of Nick names !

wingingatlife · 02/02/2018 11:14

My Emilia gets shortened to Emmie.

AnneAndDi · 02/02/2018 11:19

It’s a nickname.

I have an Emily shortened to Emmy

Doublechocolatetiffin · 02/02/2018 11:22

I’d go for a longer name that could be shortened to Emmy, either Emily or Emilia or Emeline.

I like it though.

LionsTigersBeers · 02/02/2018 11:27

We also have an Emilia nicknamed Emmie. Fab name. She is very rarely Emilia.

cherryontopp · 02/02/2018 11:40

I do like Emilia...but its very common where I live. Theres lots of Emily's, Emilias and Amelias.

It may have to be Elizabeth and ill call her her Libby.

Hope this baby is a boy! So frustrating

Emmie. I went to secondary school with an Emmie (who was told off by a teacher for making up her name!) and I always thought it was really pretty.

VerityMay · 02/02/2018 13:33

I think Emmie is pretty, think I might go for Emmeline, shortened to Emmie or Em. Really love Georgia Louise too, sounds beautiful.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 02/02/2018 14:00

I’d go for Emmeline, with Ennis for short.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 02/02/2018 14:01

*Emmie for short!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/02/2018 14:09

Emmie.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/02/2018 14:10

... or Libby ! Libby Louisa 😄

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 02/02/2018 14:11

I teach an Emmy. I think it's a completely lovely name. Would spell it like that.

MammieBear · 02/02/2018 14:13

Elizabeth Louise for a name that stands out amongst all the Nn's being used. Emmy is the best spelling though is you do just want Emmy, the name reminds me of the singer Emmylou.

cherryontopp · 02/02/2018 14:27

Would you pronounce Emmeline ..Emma-line?

I do like shortened versions of names, theyre becoming quite popular, e.g. Tommy, Alfie, Libby

Yes, Emma-leen.
Emmeline is such a lovel name, as is Emma.

AdalindSchade · 02/02/2018 19:41

Definitely not just Emmy on the birth certificate but as a shortening it's lovely. I love Emmeline and love the suffragette connection

IWouldLikeToKnow · 02/02/2018 19:47

Don't see what's wrong with Emme. But if that's not enough for the birth cert as is usually the case in MN world then Emmeline is lovely.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 02/02/2018 19:59

I love the name Emmy. I know one, and she is literally the coolest kid in the world. She's not mine, btw... 😂

howthelightgetsin · 02/02/2018 20:33

Just please not Emmi!
