Thinking about 'Rosie' for girls shortlist as a shortened name for everyday use but what options are there for formal, official use? And which do you prefer?

I have a soft spot for the 'yn' ending. There's also Rosa, Rosemary, Rosalind, Primrose or Rose.

My friend has a dd Rosalind, it's such a lovely name I think. Rosie would be a good nickname, they shorten theirs to Roz.

I know someone called Rosalyn who pronounces it Roz-a-lin, nn rozzie. Not sure if that's standard but might be worth bearing in mind if you're aiming for 'rose' sound.
I do like that name though, Rosanna is nice too.

I like Rosalyn but wondered if people would think the -lyn was a bit red-neck, Honey Boo Boo sounding

Rosalyn would be pronounced with "Roz" not "Rose" where I live. The same goes for Rosalind. And all Ros' are 50+.
