What are your opinions on my shortlist for BOYS names.....be honest

Following on from my earlier thread for girls names I thought I'd ask you lovely mumsnetters your honest opinions on my boy list!

We are still TTC so this is a bit of fun but I'd love to know your honest opinions on each!

Hugh
Harry
Sebastian
James
Grayson

We have a English two syllable (reasonably boring surname beginning with N and will choose two middle names as it's both families tradition to do so).

Love them all except Grayson. Not keen on American names. Sebastian is great especially.

I like Sebastian and James. Dislike Grayson and ambivalent about the others.

Another vote for Sebastian or James.

I think Sebastian sounds the best (particularly if your name is Nelson!)

Don't like Grayson or Hugh. Love James, no feelings about the others

Sebastian was on my shortlist. Love it! Less keen on the others but only one I wouldn't go for is Grayson.

Hugh is my favourite.

Grayson is my least favourite by a very long way.

I really like James and Harry. Lovely, solid names.

I dislike Grayson.

Sebastian is quite nice.

Hugh is okay.

Really don't like Grayson.

I like Harry, James, and Hugh.

Not keen on Sebastian, but no real reason, just not my taste.

Hmm I dunno. A few of my friends named their boys Sebastian over the past couple of years and I can't warm to it. You see Sebastian, you hear crab.

Hugh is a great name but I much prefer the Welsh spelling Huw. If you are maybe a bit Welsh......

James is lovely. If I had a second DS he would have been James. Harry and Grayson are nice. None of your names are bad.

James or Harry

Unlike the rest of mumsnet, I dislike Sebastian so much.

I like Hugh and James. Harry is okay.

Grayson is awful.

I like Hugh and Sebastian best. (Although Sebastian slightly over-used now.) As above also prefer the Welsh version Huw - one of my favs.
No opinion on James, just blah, so many of them from the 70s and 80s. Really dislike Harry, massively overused 15 years ago. (Henry maybe?). I don’t mind Grayson actually, but it seems like a very different type of name to your other options.

Not sure I like the effect of 2 'n's together that you would get with your surname, preceded by Sebastian or Grayson (and I really don't like the name Sebastian). From that list, it would be James or Hugh for me.

I like them all apart from Grayson. I don’t get the surnames as first names things, like McKenzie, Lincoln, Wilson, Arden etc although it’s becoming more popular in the US.
I love your other names though!

I really like Hugh. James is nice as well. And Sebastian is OK.

James or Harry. Not keen on Hugh, Grayson is a bit American and I really dislike Sebastian especially the nickname Seb.

Like a lot of the other posters, I like them all but Grayson. Nice choices :)
