DD2 due imminently and we can’t agree on her name! Her big sister has a name starting with C, rhyming with Nora. We’re struggling to whittle our shortlist down and can’t help thinking we haven’t found “her” yet, and time is running out. Thoughts??

Rosanna (Rosie)
Matilda
Anwen
Anouk
Agnes
Delphine
Bronwen
Ingrid
Robyn

Rosanna (Rosie) - Anna names are a dime a dozen so I'd avoid if that's a problem. I do like it though.
Matilda - personally cannot stand, have only ever taught spectacularly bold Matildas so it soured me on it.
Anwen - it's ok. I love Arwen though
Anouk - lovely
Agnes - absolutely not.
Delphine - bit fussy for me
Bronwen - I like. Prefer Bronagh though.
Ingrid - gorgeous name
Robyn - very wet, dislike.

LarkDescending · 23/01/2018 17:01

Rosanna for me - love it.

MancUnicorn · 23/01/2018 17:16

Rosanna (Rosie) - Nice
Matilda - Nice
Anwen - Love
Anouk - Not a fan
Agnes - Not a fan
Delphine - Not a fan
Bronwen - Love
Ingrid - Like
Robyn - Love

Oooh Anouk! And Anwen is beautiful also! It's name of my friends sister... I had never head it before until recently and I love it! But Anouk is super cool ❤

ChocolateCrunch · 23/01/2018 18:12

Love Anouk (but prefer Anoushka), Robyn, Matilda and Rosanna (though prefer Rosalie).

userabcname · 23/01/2018 18:19

Agnes or Robyn.

Smoliver · 23/01/2018 18:20

I love Rosanna, Matilda and Ingrid. I also like Delphine and Robyn

flumpybear · 23/01/2018 18:25

Robyn
If you call her Anouk then people will call your kids anouk and cranny

(A nook and cranny)

daisypond · 23/01/2018 19:14

I don't like Matilda - it'll date terribly. I'm not wild about Ingrid either unless you have the relevant heritage, otherwise it feels a bit of a fancy dress name. Bronwen seems a very middle-aged name to me, but maybe because that's the only one I know. I'm not keen on Robyn. I like all your other names a lot, though, particularly Delphine and Agnes.

Uhohmummy · 23/01/2018 19:41

Love Rosanna and Ingrid.
Matilda is ok but it’s so overused where we are (London).

chocolateiamydrug · 23/01/2018 20:22

Robyn or Anouk

I also like Matilda but it's rather popular si I wouldn't pick it.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/01/2018 20:41

Rosanna
Anouk
Anwen

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 23/01/2018 21:47

Anouk is amazing.

manicinsomniac · 24/01/2018 03:23

Rosanna (Rosie) - nice. Goes well with DD1
Matilda - love it.
Anwen - quite like it
Anouk - don't get the love for this at all. Is it A- noohk. Sounds very harsh, almost ugly to my ear. But do love Anoushka.
Agnes - not keen. But it goes nicely with DD1
Delphine - not keen but I love Delphi - seems softer and younger.
Bronwen - really like it
Ingrid - like it. Goes very well with DD1
Robyn - really like it

littlebid · 24/01/2018 18:50

Thanks all! Glad to see there’s no massive consensus I’m missing, and the ones that are popular here and the ones high on my list. We’ll have to see which one suits her!

Rosanna/Rosie is lovely. I love Delphine too.

Talith · 24/01/2018 18:52

Matilda's been done to death. Defo consider something else!

NinonDeLenclos · 24/01/2018 19:43

Matilda is the only one I like but it's very popular. Love the diminutive Maud.

NewYearNiki · 24/01/2018 20:18

None other than Matilda.

Bronwyn means White Breast.
