If we have a boy, we are firmly decided on Zachary Christopher (Zack for short).

For a girl, we are definite on middle name (Rose) but it's between these:

Megan Rose
Amelia Rose
Lauren Rose
Robyn Rose
Isabella Rose

I also really like Eloise (though wouldn't go with Rose) but OH won't as he once snogged a girl called Eloise (doesn't bother me).

Concerned re Megan also - both of us have loved Megan independently of one another for years, but now with Meghan Markle, expecting an influx of Megan's.

I don't actually know why I'm asking as only 5 weeks, had a MMC last time at 9.5 weeks and so not even certain we will get there. But I do like thinking about names!

Never thought about Meghan Markle bringing an influx of Megan's, but my dd is the only one in her year and only 2 in her school at the moment. There is a lot of Lauren's and Amelia's.

I like Heloise but OH's sister has a really good friend called Heloise (who is a bit weird) and so don't think OH will go for it.

I liked Bronwyn and Evelyn too (and my great grandmother's name was Evelyn) but OH isn't keen on those either! Think he likes Megan, Amelia and Isabella.

I think go with Megan if you both love it, it goes well with Rose and is a bit more unusual than your other choices.

I don't think Meghan Markle will neccesarily bring an influx of Meghans. I think celebrity baby names tend to create trends rather than names of celebrities themselves iyswim

Lauren is my favourite. They're all good though.

Robyn is my absolute least favourite. I find it really drab and the diminutive Rob is not nice.

I like Megan Rose or Robyn Rose the most. I wouldn't worry about the Meghan Markle thing. I can't remember there being a massive influx in babies named Catherine or Kate after Kate Middleton married Will.

I would also avoid Megan. It looks like a nod to the royal family's newest incoming member and will probably pick up in popularity.

Shame your DH is being so silly about Eloise. Lovely name. His DD's existence would wipe 'a snog' out of mind.

Imagine how many names would be eliminated from usage by people if it's people you happened to kiss once? Ridiculous and grossly overthinking things, there...

I like Megan and Lauren. Amelia and Isabella are just so popular, I'm sick of them.

Robyn is my fave as its a little more unusual...I think Lauren goes least well with Rose....good luck x

Of your list, I like Megan most. I do like Eloise more though and don't think "I kissed a girl with that name once" is a great reason to veto a name, but each to their own.

Isabella is very pretty pretty but I don't like Izzy and I know of many Isabels, Isabelles and Isabellas.
